Machota: Kellen Moore is current front runner to become the next Cowboys Head Coach

No, you don't. One season does not make a rule.
Kellen has multiple seasons. And, he can obviously utilize the running game in an offense where a running attack is the bread and butter.

Don't be obtuse.
In those 5 years you mention, did the Eagles have a 2,000 yard rusher?
How many times in history has that been done?

Moore has been the frontrunner for the last three months. Nothing new.

they floated the name
Jimmy Johnson floated the name.

And did so, not as a matter of reporting, but as a matter of opining what he thought would make sense.

Do Jimmy and Jerry talk? Maybe so. Maybe not, but maybe so.

But why isn't it just as likely that Jimmy isn't Jerry's puppet, and that Jimmy God-honestly thinks that is what makes sense and maybe even decided to throw the name out there to push Jerry? Maybe Jimmy is friends with the Schottenheimer family for all we know.

Healthy Skepticism = Good

Imo, If it comes down to Kingsbury over Kellen ....

- Kingsbury has past HC experience per Arizona
- thought of as more " leader of men" than Kellen

He thinks so highly of him that he let him walk and take the same job in SD. I'm calling BS.

Makes sense...they are just keeping Schottenheimer's name around probably as a strong candidate for Kellen's OC. They want to keep the offense consistent for Dak

Garrett 2.0
The next Tom Landry.
Get ready for another 9 seasons in the wilderness.
John are you an expert on coaches? Give us your choice on who should be the next coach of the Cowboys. I'm sure that you know who it should be. You know all about the NFL. I'm sure you could turn the Cowboys around with your vast knowledge. You should be the GM.

I'm still waiting for a better name than Moore.

Seriously. Everyone who is hating on Moore needs to say who they would pick instead.
(BJ is off the list now)

Moore doesn’t excite me, but I’ll definitely take him over Schottenheimer.
This is the exact attitude that’s gotten us to where we’re at. All you’re doing is condemning us to another 5 years of nothingness. You’re a respectable member here and you just posted that you’ll settle for scraps. Again. I’m literally ready for torches and pitchforks after all these years and a lot of you are still in for more of the same. I just don’t get it.

Kmoore = instant fix for our jacked up offense.

Moore is the choice. He'll be announced after the NFC Championship game (win or lose).

His staff will need to be amazing! Please!

Hey, Jerry, there is no salary cap for coaches. Get him some dawgs for his staff. With experience!

whats sad with this slop being offered is there are actually good candidates and coaches available...and our inept gm is gonna piss it away so his feelings don't get hurt and he can feel like the smartest guy in the room.
jones has always thought that he is the smartest person alive when it comes to football decisions.

Keep ignoring the obvious.

They ignored that with Jason Garrett too. Then Sparano left and the offense went to hell.
You keep ignoring the obvious. I'm just saying. He showed he can indeed run the ball, in the right system. So, in my opinion, that will make his offense even more potent. He's a great OC. We'll see about HC, but I at least think he earned it.

The knock on him about not being able to run, or being unwilling to run, has been officially debunked whether you admit it or not.

With what is available and what Jerry will spend Kingsbury is the obvious choice for this franchise.

It’s not close.
Yeah, but I think Reverend Deion would be a disaster regardless of nostalgia and his HOF status. Deion was a good coach at Jackson because his assistants, like Mike Zimmer.

I'm just adding to what you're saying and the whole HC talk. I don't believe Deion was truly on the table, other than for media engagement while we're out of the playoffs.
