You said Dak can be a All Pro at times and can be mediocre at times. My argument is you just described every good qb in the league. You disagree fine. I’m not going to go back and forth with the insults agree to disagree and move on. It’s pointless.

What insults? It’s bizarre how you came at this. I’ve always had pretty good interactions with you as TexasFrog and now. I stated a pretty innocuous thing and you got bent. We both agree that QBs are up and down. It’s my opinion that the top guys can overcome that and consistently year in and year out put their teams in a position to make a SB or a run. I don’t think Dak has that despite having many good traits. Mahomes still came through in the playoffs. I just think he was a bad example since every year as a starter he’s put his team in position to win it all. But hey I’ll move along.

I mean when you have the “Dak apologist” tag labeled on you people come in already with their gun ready to shoot. Maybe because of how other guys are but I’m not. Like I said earlier, I never said he and Pat were of them same caliber. I was just saying your description of Dak was that he was a up and down guy. Not to misquote you but you said something along the lines of he looks like a All Pro at times and is mediocre times. I agree with you there. But I guess the disagreement came when I said you described nearly all of the elite quarterbacks.

Im not here to convince anyone that Dak is elite. Never have and probably never will. But I do think we haven’t seen the best of Dak. Not gonna write him off after last season. Just won’t.

Wait? What? You did say you were 10 years old. What am I missing?

What part of "I already answered the question", do you need help understanding?

Cool! I agree with most of it. I don’t think you are an apologist. I’m also not a hater. I do think he has the tools but I want to see the team just put it together for a run and he needs to step up late in season. They all do but as our QB he is going to be judged on how far we go. He’s still got some time but window is smaller. Last season made me nervous with how he seemed worse around mid to late season but I’m thinking that was injury related.

You’re right. Not disagreeing there. He’s gonna be judged not just by making the playoffs but how far this team goes. Even if he loses because of a missed extra point…it’s gonna be on him. He has to figure out how to win in spite of this organizations flaws. From the top to the bottom. I honestly don’t think anyone can which is why we are getting the same results with Dak that we got from Romo but you never know.

You mind posting it again?
Your question has been addressed a million times in this forum. It was addressed again, by me and others, in this thread. There is no need for me to answer it yet again. There is no reason for you to need it answered yet again.

The answer is already right in front of you, in black and white text.

You think he played like a top 10 QB in that first Packers game? Even with the pick I'd have to say he did. Made some great timely throws. Especially once he got that first pick out of the way.
Overall he was great, particularly considering he was a rookie. The defense was not very good that year but the offense took a whole lot of pressure off them and Dak had a lot to do with that.

However, you can't leave time on the clock with that defense facing the most dangerous QB in the league when it comes to pressure moments in big games.

I don't know ow about you but I expected that throw. It was right in lines with the way you would expect Rodgers and the Packers to react. That's why you have to build a two score lead in that situation and not a tie.

The Cowboys and Dak, in particular, had to play inspired for the whole game and not just when they were down by 18. There wasn't just the INT, there were three and outs, missed reads, missed opportunities.

The bottoming is this. If you are trying to promote your QB as one of the best in the league and you use regular season stats or situations as proof then you fail. By the next season nobody remembers those games. It has to be the games that all NFL fans will
remember and that is the playoffs.

,
,You look at guys like Stafford, Rodgers, Mahomes, Brady, and Wilson and we know what these five guys have in common. Then you look at Burrows, Jackson and Allen and see how close they came. That's what it is all about. The top ten is about difference makers at the highest level and Dak hasn't been there yet.....but he will.

I watch as the Star above all something which unfortunately you have no idea about!!!
Question.......when Dak goes to another team will you follow him there????
I’m a Cowboy fan. You wear that star I root for you. I’m not you. You can’t put your personal feelings for Dak aside. Typically Romosexuals can’t….

We root for all our players and know when one or some are dead weight and keeping our Star and our real talented player from glory.
Sorry, you opened to door.......now about the sexual part, I'll pass on that type of level debate and let you man-crush folks do your thing!!!

Take away the long Pollard run, and our offense did nothing against New Orleans. The Saints didn't even have a QB that day. If Winston played, we would have lost.
How did Tampa do against the Saints?
