I'm still playing 2K with updated rosters.

FAAAAR superior game as far as gameplay and presentation go. There are bugs, but most can be fixed through the sliders. All I have to say was online leagues were simply the greatest thing ever. Why it had to end, when they were only going to add to it, is just a sin.

The only thing madden has on this game is the Franchise. Madden has been so disappointing to me the last 3 years, it can't even be put into words.

They also took away my right to buy both games on release day. This was a tradition for me.

If they don't put out a quality game this year, I don't know how much more video football I will be playing. Which is sad because I've been playing madden or other games since 1989.

i liked the 2k game because it was 20 bucks and had great graphics, and of course boomer was in the game. i wish they continued the series, but thanks to the ea empire, they ruined it for everyone.

Especially with the new-gen consoles, Madden's graphics are out of this world amazing. Madden also annually has more features and more things to do in their games than 2K ever did. The only problems I have with Madden that are not problems in 2K is that Madden never has half the rookie's pictures and DBs can jump way to high to knock balls away. Not everyone is Michael Jordan.

My problem with 2K is that it was WAYYYYY too easy to dominate. On Madden you can crank up the CPU's awareness and atleast make a game of it. 2K on the hardest levels were a bore.

See, now I think exactly opposite.

The 2k Series seemed to have variable difficulty as well. You could start out 6-0 in your season, but that 7th game could be a buzzsaw. Really added to the feel of the game.

Madden, maybe because I've played it so many years, never challenged me anymore and I could do what I wanted. Not to mention the CPU didn't run the ball.

What a pleasure it is to play vs the Steelers in 2k and have to really bear down to stop the run, while risking a deep ball with a play fake. 2k Is just an awesome game.

Personally, i think Madden is far superior. Make the argument that the graphics have not changed, but seriously how much better can they be? And the precision passing is revolutionary, haters will say the game doesnt change, but this is something unique and makes the game very realistic.

Holy smokes, EA has you in their back pockets.

How much better than the graphics be? How about looking at the graphics for 2k5 and answer that one yourself.

Sorry bro, I'm not falling for EA's media campaign. I'm not paying $50 every year for the same game ... albeit new cover boy, updated rosters, and some bells and whistles.

Man, imagine Hollywood offering the same thing with their movies?

Star Wars - the Original
Star Wars - the updated and expanded edition
Star Wars - with new interactive media
Star Wars - with new cover and gold trim
Star Wars - 5th anniversary edition
Star Wars - with new intro by George Lucas
Star Wars - with deleted Princess Leah in bikini scene
Star Wars - with new and improved features

This is what Madden football is. Madden 2007 is nothing more than Madden 2000 with updated rosters, bells and whistles.

What's next? The ability to turn off the QB flashlight?

How about the ability to jump high?

Sorry ... but EA got you guys in their grips and it's hilarious how everyone buys the same game year in and year out.

Absolutely agree, and it's still better than Madden 2007.

Download the updated rosters and there you go ... ESPN NFL 2k7 without spending another freakin' $50.

anyone who says that has not played madden objectively enough...the game is nowhere near the same

ha ha ha. EA has you fooled my friend.

Put in Madden 2000 and then put in Madden 2007. It's the SAME freakin' game ... updated rosters and some bells and whistles.

Sorry, put the Madden homerism aside and be objective. Don't let the EA empire fool you. They're selling you the same exact game for the past 7 editions.

They're laughing all the way to the bank and all you guys who put down deposits on Madden 2007 are just throwing your money away.

If you really like Madden, pick up Madden 2003 for $1.99 used ... and download a roster editor. Spend a few hours updating your rosters, and voila, Madden 2007 ... FOR FREE !!!

Actually, I can't wait for EA's NFL Head Coach. I have always liked the other aspects of football, i.e. the offseason and strategy. I can't wait to give that game a try, there is going to be so much depth in it, it is crazy!

NFL Head Coach is nothing more than Madden franchise mode with some bells and whistles.

Do you really think EA is going to put out anything innovative?

For those who thought EA was gonna put out an amazing Arena League football, what did we get? Watered down Madden which is closer to NFL Blitz 2000.

EA is doing nothing more than rehashing the Madden engine into different iterations. NCAA Football is nothing more than Madden college. Arena League is Madden slim. NFL Head Coach is Madden franchise mode.

EA is just sucking your money guys.

Don't fall for it.

Over the years it's gotten much better. The gameplay has gotten smoother, player movement more natural, it feels different every year.

Don't be ridiculous, you can already do that. But then, how would I draw the safeties right, only to hit a streaking Glenn down the left side at the last second? :)

How about the ability to jump high?

How about the power to kill a yak, from 300 yards, with mind bullets?

THAT'S TELELKINESIS KYLE!!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha. Madden 2007 for the 360 was so watered down and pushed out it was pathetic. Half the NFL rules don't apply. There's absolutely NO depth to the game. It's ALL graphics. Which is fine and good. May as well go play Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball or some other button mashing game.

If you don't believe me ... read the reviews by players like you and me ... and I bet most of them are Madden homers...

This game is awful it's not even Madden. There is no Madden commentary, all the options have been taken away (create-a-player, team and so forth.) No mini-camp which has been in Madden for years now. The one plus is that the graphics are much better than the versions for other systems but personally if I want to play this game I will play it on my PS2 before touching this game again on my 360.

Disappointment
Reviewed By: Jay Date: Saturday, April 29, 2006

This game was disappointing to say the least. Madden 06 for the XBox was the greatest Madden ever. But Madden 06 for the XBox 360 is not even close. The game is glitchy, it freezes alot, you can't challenge plays, the owner mode is weak & the gameplay is terrible. The only good thing about this game is the graphics. The players look pretty realistic. Stay with the XBox Madden, you'll be happier. I hope they go back to the old style Madden for 2007

These are just the TOP 2 reviews. Imagine what the rest of the reviews are like.

So basically, every year they tweak the game alittle ... and charge you another $50. That sounds good to me.

Nope ... but the biggest feature of Madden 2007 is the clouds move.

You can find it used for $2.99.

It's the best three dollars you'll ever spend in your life. Hours and hours of endless play.

Get the A/R and update the rosters. Instantly, you'll have ESPN NFL 2k7.

Sollie chollie. 2000 through 2007 is 8 games ... at $50 a game that's $400. For the same freakin' game!!!

No wonder you're crying.

Absolutely ... doesn't take a year to figure out it's the same game.

Lemme see ... let's play Madden football.

Take two minutes to realize throwing 50 yard bombs is ALWAYS completed.

Here's what you're getting for you $50 ...

Changes from Madden 06 to Madden 07 -

1) Cover boy is now Shaun Alexander
- careful of that Madden curse, don't break a leg

2) Roster updates
- will be out of date by the time the game is released

3) New moves
a) new swim move lets you do breast stroke
b) turns off QB flashlight for CPU
c) new jump stick, let's players of different jumping
ability jump to different heights
d) "updated" graphics ... sky now has moving clouds

the best three dollars I ever spent was when my lawyer buddy wrote up my divorce papers for a big mac but it could be a close second.
