Mahomes Mountain this week: Answering the Dak complaints

So the people who are like "what's so impressive about Dak's 179 yards?"

Well.....Even Nick Wright states that that statline is deceptive.

He had 179 yards because he sent the game to garbage time early, and basically played the 2nd half on sleep dial. Just possess the ball, run it a bunch of times, throw safe passes, get a few first downs and call it a day.

Game was effectively over with a half left to play after the punt return TD. 27-3

I think Dak's ranking is fair. Thoughts?

Stop with this constant need to protect Dak. Who cares about ranking or yards, he'll be judged on how he leads the team in the playoffs.

Yeah my thoughts are that he looked exactly like he always looks against a quality defense and if you don't shut down the opponent's run while they also have awful QB play, you don't get a bunch of sacks and turnovers and you don't get a special teams score as well, you're probably in trouble trying to compete against the better teams with this 60 million dollar sky pointing stiff.

That's my general post game take.
Isn’t that why it’s called a team.

Cooper Rush had to be hated for these types of stat lines so Dak can be praised for them.

All hail Cooper Rush.
The embarrassment of declaring this will be Dak's last year with such confidence is eating you alive isn't it? I feel terrible for you...Now you gotta spend the next 6 years trying to live that down..

As if I care.

I get to keep laughing at you Dak fans kissing on Daks feet for having the same type of game that YOU SPECIFICALLY made threads hating Cooper Rush for having.

I see that after one game into the season, Dak apologists are in season form with their excuses on why he was mediocre especially in the second half. He was horrible, … luckily they ran into another QB who was just as bad that day.

Go Cowboys… giddy up :flagwave:
Its the regular season. This is their super bowl.

Right. Or the what was before..
Hutchinson, Henson, Carter…

Yes. I don’t want that and that’s why I ask these people that think Dak is terrible to give me a good solution and I’m waiting.
You've been told many times, many valid plans, but you won't accept any of them so you can stick to your Spagnola-esque "who you gonna get" line. You have zero interest in solutions.

You also continue to use the fear meme of "Carter, Henson, etc", but keep ignoring when people point out that we went from Romo to Dak, and the Carter-Henson stuff was 20 years ago.

You are disingenuous.

They have become comfortable in the mediocrity losers like Romo and Dak provided them.

“Why trade up in the 1st round and draft a project QB out of Texas Tech when Alex Smith has made two straight Pro Bowls and led us to back to back division wins?”
I know, right? We have STARK CURRENT EXAMPLES of how to go about this football thing, and yet we still have the intentionally obtuse such as:

What would be your solution to QB? What’s the best way to get someone clearly better than Dak?

Also, where do you rank Dak vs his NFL comp?
Right. Or the what was before..
Hutchinson, Henson, Carter…

Yes. I don’t want that and that’s why I ask these people that think Dak is terrible to give me a good solution and I’m waiting.
These people aren't serious, or being honest in their arguments.

Unfortunately we have fans that are just like Jerry.

They are happy as long as they’re in the conversation. That’s why you see them hype up regular season success so much. It keeps the Cowboys talked about.

They’re scared to death of the possibility, not even a guarantee, but just the possibility that we might have a couple down years if we try and take the QB position seriously for the first time since Aikman.

Why would I be disingenuous? On the internet about this?

I think the solutions proposed are not likely to work. Drafting a QB is likely the hardest draft decision in sports. Look at the MANY failed top pics. Look at how teams stumble on Mahomes or Brady or Rodgers when many teams thought they weren’t that good.

If our QB was one of the worst in the league I could see moving on. He just isn’t.

Tell me this Hotshot, who’s your can’t miss guys in this draft and we will see how easy it is. None have had a good start.

The key is the solutions I’ve heard seem not well thought out and or fantastical. . That’s why I’d like to hear a good one with a very good chance at drafting a pro bowl type guy. Give me one and If it’s good I’ll tell you.

Not being honest? Ok man. Im lying because…? Why would I lie. You thought of that thought. So tell me why I’d lie. Weird.

And give me your stark examples and explain why they aren’t outliers and why we’d have a better tank avg chance at succeeding by copying a stark example.

Mahomes and Rodgers were both drafted while their team’s had legitimate starters already starting for them. The Packers and Chiefs wasn’t playing scared like you want Jerry to do.

Heck, the Packers just repeated the same thing with the Love/Rodgers situation.

If you had it your way it sounds like you’d hitch your wagons to the first QB that makes you comfortable and make him
QB for life because trying to improve the most important position in sports scares you to death.

But, but, but , but. Just enjoy the damn season and quit dwellin on the past when the ENTIRE team failed in the playoffs. How naive some fans are.
I am enjoying the season. I never said the rest of the team did anything different in the playoffs. But the post was about Dak. And there was nothing naive about my post...or my take. Name calling isn't necessary. Seriously, if you disagree with something I say, so be it. But calling me a name doesn't help your argument at all. And while the past may be the past, it still counts.

I'm genuinely hoping this is the year or all comes together for Dak and the rest of our team.

I never called you a name Scotty.

Naive? Is that not what you said? And "Scotty" is dripping with disrespect in that you don't know me like that.

Where is this coming from? I've never said a disrespectful word to you. Not once.

Wow, you’re very sensitive aren’t you.

Don't pay any attention to him. Rocky is on a mission from God demanding "accountability" while refusing to be accountable himself. He's a troll, a hypocrite and a proven liar.

His value here is in his jester-like antics. Just point, laugh and move on.
