So the people who are like "what's so impressive about Dak's 179 yards?"

Well.....Even Nick Wright states that that statline is deceptive.

He had 179 yards because he sent the game to garbage time early, and basically played the 2nd half on sleep dial. Just possess the ball, run it a bunch of times, throw safe passes, get a few first downs and call it a day.

Game was effectively over with a half left to play after the punt return TD. 27-3

I think Dak's ranking is fair. Thoughts?

really can't discredit dak for garbage time stats AND call him out for not compiling garbage time stats and winning lol. he looked a bit rusty to me, but i have no complaints from his performance.

That's fine...and that is what I said about Dak's green bay game. without the 2 ints it's what? 13-10? A VERY different game! (prooving your point on how the QB plays effects the game BIGTIME!)

Anyways....It was nice to see a Good game from both offense and defense. Defense certainly outstanding...my eye test says a VERY different philosophy!
Might be fair if not for the simple fact that the defense didn't show up for that Green Bay game. I saw no indication that without the turnovers they still would not have scored. Did you? It just might have taken longer. But in that first half the Packers had drives of 75 and 93. The 75 yarder was on the opening drive of the game so Dak's play had no bearing on that one and I have a hard time seeing how Dak's play influenced that 93 yard drive that began early in the 2nd quarter. The Packers averaged NINE YARDS PER PLAY on that drive. If anything seeing how bad the defense was playing was what made Dak feel like he needed to force the issue which led to the pick 6. If the defense is showing any sign of life it's a lock doesn't make that throw and is content to punt and let the defense work or go ahead and take the FG to make it 14-7? What about after the first INT the defense forced the Packers to take 3 whole plays to go 19 yards for a TD. That's over 6 yards per play IN THE RED ZONE! What about that inspires anyone to think they could have stopped them if it had been from further out? Again no one is going to say Dak played well in that game but the putrid performance by the defense (and CeeDee's drops) caused him to try to do more than he was capable of and it looked awful until the second half.

So let's stick with this rule all season. QB only gets credit for scores if he throws a TD pass. Any other points scored by the offense must be attributed to someone else. At the end of the season the QB who throws the most TD passes will get the most "credit." I'm writing this down.
Or, maybe we could be just be reasonable and objective and evaluate each play/drive for what they actually are. Did the drive stall because of penalties? Mistakes unrelated to the QB? Or... drumroll please... a bad play by the QB?

Nah, forget that. Let's stick with the emotionally based rationalization method. This place would we be boring otherwise.

This part though! No cap.
extreme "cap" no one hated rush, they pointed out it wasn't impressive or sustainable. to his credit we've actually seen dak play at an extremely high level, so we know that he has that gear as well. with rush, his ceiling was bus driver and that is not enough, except for exactly what we needed from him for a stretch.

LOL! I guess for a lot of fans it's easier to scapegoat one guy than to engage in actual mental exercise in evaluating the team's performance. I don't get it but whatever.. It aint changin no time soon so I just have fun with it.

You said “Dak hung” … Dak is the QB. He hung 6. Aubrey hung 15. Dak didn’t kick the ball did he? No.

The rest is word salad. We are talking about Sunday, last season is not part of the discussion.

Dak sucking contributed to the need for Aubrey to hang 15. Dak had his chances to hang more but he couldn’t complete passes, on short fields no less … sooooo Aubrey did what Dak couldn’t. Scored. 15.

Don’t over complicate it,
you make poor arguments. and that's saying something on this site.

What’s the end goal constantly trying silence those who see Dak for what he has shown to be? Why does it bother you so much that people don’t all see Dak through the same rose colored glasses and have a critical thinking lense.

Maybe YOU should leave and go start your own fan club where only peace luv & dakumbyaaaa are allowed. I’ll be happy to start the go fund me.

Dak was below average on Sunday and was terrible for a large part of it … he was lucky he was out-terribled by the opposing QB. Dak made 3-4 good plays worth a high five and was carried by an above average performance by the defense a top 3 special teams. Hope he broke off some of that game check for Aubrey and the D.
Your point of view is not shared by football great minds like Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and others, thankfully. They know football and what they are talking about. You don't. Chirp away and keep making a bigger fool of yourself all you want. Thanks for the laughs.

it's annoying. and i'm not one of the people you target. you should tone it down.
I’m a firm believer in accountability. There’s not enough of that these days. People don’t have the intestinal fortitude.

Whoops.. that would be 14-3. Not great but better than 20-0 before the pick 6 which again I don't believe happens if we're down one or two scores (not three) and the defense is showing a pulse.

It's all moot...that's the beauty of it...true reality tv and chaos theory. Nobody can say the what ifs for sure.

Yep that's why we love the game.. You never know what you're gonna git till you git it. I do know that Dak was really good in the first half of the game against Cleveland when it was still in doubt and either lost focus or went into "just don't turn it over" mode in the second half.

You seem to support Dak and nothing else. You first......

And if I have to stick my head up Dak's butt to be a fan, I will pass on that
Yeah, I have blasted Dak's greediness all of this year. Keep lying. It's what you do.
