Make no mistake, Rush is playing for the starting job Sunday

Cooper Rush would have to literally shock the world tonight and put up 300+ yards and 3+ TDs against the Eagles defense in a win for there to be any validity behind this "QB controversy" drama. And would have to put up top QB numbers in other games IMO for the front office to actually even consider giving Cooper Rush the job. And even if he for one night plays like a top five QB and lights up the Eagles defense, that alone might not even be enough for Rush to get the job.

A win tonight over the Eagles still doesn't guarantee Rush the job, if it's another game which the defense is carrying the team, while the offense is stagnant for most of the game.

Dak is going to start as soon as he is healthy, no matter what. But as soon as he has one of his crappy games and we lose to a weaker opponent, the pressure on Dak from media and fans is going to test his great "Leadership," qualities weve heard about over the past 6 seasons.

I agree there should be if that scenario takes place but I still doubt it happens Jerry gives 0 you know what’s about what fans on this site and media says

if he did Dak may not have gotten signed to the contract to begin with

Yes if Cooper Rush puts up some huge QB numbers tonight and the offense scores 28, with Rush leading multiple TD drives for the offense with great QB play and the Cowboys win, especially in a blow out. Then Dak comes back and struggle, I can see the QB controversy being more realistic.

But, if Cooper Rush does what he has been doing and is just managing games/not turning the ball over and Cowboys win because of the defense or scores by the special teams/defense, then I don't see him getting Dak's job, if the offense is still looking like a bottom of the NFL one with Rush.

Since when does a team admit this early a qb controversy? Even if there is one.....nobody announces it.
