Making or Keeping Cowboys Fans Happy

17. Leave the referees alone! They never make bad calls.

18. (My long-time favorite) Identify Jerry Jones as The Devil unless Roger Goodell pisses you off. Then it's okay to call Goodell The Devil because Jones is Satan whenever that happens.

19. If the running back is tackled in the backfield a second after the handoff, cut 'em!!!

No sense in deleting the post.

Sdogo needs to get off my jock. His sig makes Garrett look like a 15 year old that got his lunch money taken.

Indirect or not, I'm far from an idiot. Nor do I complain about everything, I love this team just as much as anyone here. I just view 16 years of fuility as just that, 16 years of futility.

A get off my jock and a sig insult in the same post. Your taking your game to a whole new level.

For someone so intent on perfecting the image of a Negative Nancy you would think you have a easier time accepting that it worked and thus being labeled as such.

Perhaps you dont complain about EVERYTHING but when you spout of like a uninformed ignoramus: For example

Whomever we hire, he won't be an upgrade over Sherman.

it really makes you look like a diva and drama queen. If you act like it, you will get treated like it.

To poke fun at everyone. Did you not notice that I said "I finally figured out the game?"

You've got to be kidding. You accuse me of being condescending and starting an unecessary thread and I should be bubbly and effusive? In what freaked out, screwed up world?

The thread was completely in jest, tongue in cheek, hyperbole and naturally some people have to feel attacked. For the love of sanity how?

Now now Hos, we both know that hyperbole is THE stupidest thing in the whole world!!

20. Reflecting on Super Bowl history is okay when it pertains to any NFL team not based in Dallas, Texas.

Unless your speaking of the Eagles..........there is nothing to reflect on thus your allowed to default to stadium arrests and snowballs thrown at Santa.

Sherman has been considered one of the best WR coaches in the game for years. How is that stupid?

True, but it does not matter. Dallas "will never win another Super Bowl" as long as [fill in the blank with a reason] and the last [fill in a number] of seasons is the perfect reason why they never will again.

Simple.

You dared criticize a move made by the organization.

You're lucky they don't reposess your jerseys for such an offense!

My team is not in the playoffs.

My team never really had a chance for the playoffs this year.

My team NOW has direction.

My team NOW plays like their life is on the line.

My team has Garrett as HC.

My team has Ryan as DC.

For a list of so many negatives... I could not be happier be given the situation we are in. ;)

Because there is NO way in this universe you could have any godly idea that the next person brought in will do any better or worse. There is no way you can predict his chemistry with the team or the players. You can not predict how the players will preform under his guidance.

It was an opportunistic chance to dig at another move the Cowboys made with out having realistic knowledge of the situation or how it will turn out.

Your comment was not voiced as an opinion, it did not promote Sherman as the best WR coach in the game. You did not specify any of that. You stated as if you knew it was a fact, it could not get better then Sherman and phrased it as you always do as another disaster by the Cowboys, the one team that makes your life miserable because they cant do anything right.

Clueless.

He predicted the future out of spite. It was not a criticism. He stated not a single opinion. He predicted total failure with out even knowing the situation.

It's the epitome of what this thread is about.

I'll address this lunacy when I'm at my computer, text typing on my iPhone doesn't adequately allow me to reply to such nonsense.

We wait in anticipation.....

I think the problem some have, and I know I make this mistake too, is combining the board's opinion into one.

These faceless, nameless opinions just gel together into an entity of its own.

So it seems like its always griping, always unhappy, always saying something stupid.....

lol. But, in reality these are just the "louder" more persistent people that are coming across.

There are a lot of great people here and I'm going to make an effort to enjoy their posts more and ignore the rest.

Otherwise it's going to be a long offseason. :)

It's going to be one anyways and that's no fault of anyone here:(

Check yourself.

You think it's your place to decide what's acceptable or what isn't, just like many others in here.

He predicted the future out of spite. It was not a criticism. He stated not a single opinion. He predicted total failure with out even knowing the situation.

He reacted emotionally to the loss of what he and many others believed to be a quality coach who was doing a great job. One who has yet to be replaced by the way.

It's the epitome of what this thread is about.

And I think I've already voiced what I think of this thread.

I love Hos' stuff but I didn't particularly care for this piece.

I think I have finally figured this out. All the Cowboys need to do to make and/or keep the fans happy is the following.

1. Win every game by covering the point spreads no matter how big.

2. Hire only the best coaches and have them committed to this team with no desire to become a Head Coach or Coordinator somewhere else and still not a be a puppet to the GM somehow.

3. Draft Pro Bowl caliber players in every round and somehow manage to keep all of them despite future drafts where we acquire more Pro Bowl caliber players, Free Agency, and a salary cap.

4. If we somehow miss on a Pro Bowl draft pick, trade him to someone else for their Pro Bowl player who will play here for less money because when we fart little rainbows fly out of our bum.

5. Win every Super Bowl.

I am quite fond of saying "learn the game." I think I finally have. This is fun.

You are correct sir, Like there's something wrong with that ?
