never said "pure" passers, i said natural passers. A natural passer can also have mobility.
Natural passers, Pure passers. Same thing. They have never won with their arms alone. Name one who won a Ring while having a sorry defense, a porous offensive line, bad coaching and no running game. I’ll wait for that answer. It’ll take you a while

Tennis match between games?
or maybe golf?

Surely you don't mean they played head to head in football.

Awwww does this hurt the narrative? The NFL is about the QB and has been for a long time. Next you are going to tell me Brady and Manning never faced off against each other and no one brings up their head to head record overall and in the playoffs.

Without one of the all time great defenses, Russell Wilson sure isn't having that same success. Since that defense disbanded, Russell has never made it past the divisional round. He'd be trashed if he was here and everything blamed on him. Dak plays with one of the worst defenses since he has been here. Can't make stops or force any turnovers to save their lives and he shoulders all the blame by our idiot fans.

Yes he does and won the SB ring with one of the top defense in the NFL. Wilson has improved as a QB since that SB yet Seahawks have not been able to advance to the SB. We put a lot on the QB yet to get to the SB takes more than just the QB. It may explain why Brees only has 1, or Rodgers pending this season has only 1. As for who is better? I think both are very good QB each with their strength and weakness. Dak clearly is less experienced than Wilson.

I tend to agree that evaluating a QB based on team success is foolish. Dan Marino was one of the best I ever saw and he didn't win much. I stand corrected.

Unfortunately, that leaves QB evaluation as highly subjective. Situation has such an impact. This year, Dak had incredible protection. Lowest sack rate in the league AND one of the longest times to throw. People will point to all of the dropped passes but I remember many of them being bad passes barely in the receiver's reach. Personally, I think Dak is a mediocre QB when I watch him. Not accurate and doesn't throw downfield unless the guy is wide open. Others will disagree with me and we will never see eye to eye.

Look numb nuts. Anyone who knows football uses this logic become its true and unbiased. Very much the opposite of the bs you spew about.
Show your work sir. Show the Dak cheerleader thread where you go in there and say its a team game when people are acting like Dak is a one man show. It isn't hard to show the work that you claim anyone who knows football does even though in this thread you have people mention Dak beating Wilson like this was streetball. Where is your post correcting them saying this is a team game sir?

maybe they played one on one basketball?
Come on now, you KNOW it's a team game. 22 starters. QB is most important on offense usually, but plays no defense or special teams..... it's certainly not one on one.

I'm pro Dak, btw.
Just can't buy into QB A "beat" QB B stuff

With that rationale, Mitch Trubisky, Sam Darnold and Josh Allen all "beat Dak" this year.

If Dak's so great and so proven, wouldn't Cinci be willing to trade their #1 for Dak and our #17?

I mean, were the ones taking the risk in that scenario aren't we? We're betting on an unproven Joe Burrow and they are getting a bonafide top tier QB in Dak that they can win instantly with. An absolute stud QB with only 4 years on him that can lead that team for the next decade

Why wouldn't Cincinnati make that trade in a heartbeat? They have no risk and everything to gain, right?
Dak is going to get 30+ million contract. The first pick in the draft is cost controlled for 5 years. The only player that is worth that pick is Mahomes.

I think Jerry and Stephen are far better at evaluating talent than you.

At the QB position? Let's see...

The Cowboys have started 21 different QBs since their last NFCCG appearance.
The highest pick they've spent on a QB during that time was for Quincy Carter.
The last time they tried to trade back into the first round for a QB was for Paxton Lynch.
Jerry had to be talked out of taking Johnny Football in the first round. He wanted to do it.
They lucked into Tony Romo. They settled for Dak when they missed out on Lynch (and Connor Cook).

I think it's fair to question their talent evaluation skills when it comes to the QB position.

I think Jerry and Stephen are far better at evaluating talent than you. So if they decide to pay him what he asks I’m inclined to believe he’s worth the asking price. Dak will be paid handsomely so suck it up Buttercup and accept it.

No offense bro but you know you are scrambling when you are pinning your argument on Jerry's ability to assess talent

Jerry literally lusted after manziel

Can someone show me where this is factual and not just some made up garbage please. If that is the case then i too have a problem with it but somehow I think its just cowboy zone speculation.

The guy defending Prescott actually stated this and says he is okay with it

I am merely playing devil's advocate with his argument, but he is confident that Prescott intentionally ran less this year because he didn't have a deal in place and furthermore he is okay with it

Because I can. Who’s gonna stop me? Lol
If you want to live your online larp life as a victim go ahead. Who mentioned anything about stopping you sir? You're not making sense. Most people want you to be the victim you are because they know victims aren't a threat sir. I want you to be better but you have to want it for yourself sir.

Fans need to understand that pay level and QB rankings are not the same thing. The only way they could be is if every NFL QB were negotiating contracts in the same year under the same market conditions and all teams were colluding to make sure all QBs were paid in accordance with some ranking system that they couldn't agree on anyway.

But that's not reality. Reality is that market conditions change, just as they do in real estate, and gold and soy beans. Getting more today doesn't mean you are a better player (or a better house or a better quality of gold or a better soy bean), it just means that's what the market bears at the moment.

That said, if Dak wants $40 MM/year, that's not in line with the current market. If he wants $30-35 MM/year, that is in line. And, of course, the real key is guaranteed money.

It's potentially in line with the current market for elite quarterbacks

Which I maintain, Dak is not one of those elite quarterbacks, and therefore should not be paid like one

Dak, with a vastly superior and more healthy team, beat Wilson last year.

Swap QBs, and Wilson would have run Dak out of the state by halftime.

So when someone runs out of bounds to avoid a hit, they aren't honoring their contract!!! Lol!!!!
We have a bunch of no good, non leadership players in this league!!!! Again, LOL!! Don't make a freaking mountain out of a mole Hill and don't tell me what I'm saying. That's simply the way you choose to interpret it.
Did I say, LOL!!

Nice try. Your post is on record and at this point it's too late to edit. That dog won't hunt

I want to make sure I understand you correctly. You appear to be saying a proven top-tier quarterback at the "going market rate" is not as good of an option as an unproven rookie with not a single NFL snap under his belt

If that's what you're saying all good. Just don't want to out words in your mouth

I'll admit I'm confused. I keep hearing Dak's near top of the heap and that he's only asking for fair market value

I'm honestly confused why Cinci wouldn't bet on a sure thing rather than risk the next decade on an unproven commodity (while still maintaining a mid first round pick as well)

I've always hated that logic but people are trained like seals to say it eh cause that's what they say on the espn type channels and programs.

Sir what the hell are you talking about? You said its a team game or something to that effect because people put to much blame on Dak allegedly. I then asked why haven't I saw you in the pro Dak threads saying this same bs. You can't then ask me to show you proof of something I already said doesn't exist. Please keep up sir. This isn't looking to good for you right now sir so when you respond please have your logic in order please. It will make this disagreement go that much more smoothly.
