Heard Herm Edwards name in there at one point.ha. Dorsett was so fast

Herm Edwards name came up again a month later vs the Giants in a game known as Miracle at the Meadowlands after returning a fumble for winning TD with only seconds left.

Agree - I loved Enberg. Before both of them was Curt Gowdy. He was really the voice of network television sports in the 60's and early 70's.

Next to Summerall, Enberg would be the closest in my opinion. A lot of us older fans grew up listening to Summerall and Tom Brookshire doing a lot of Cowboy games. I also grew up listening to Verne Lundquist doing Cowboy games on the radio and TV. Frank Glieber did a lot of Cowboy games his voice brings back a lot of memories of our great 70s teams. As for Curt Gowdy he was one of the all time greats but unfortunately the only Cowboys game I ever remember him doing was SB XIII. I believe that was his last broadcast for NBC and Enberg took over for him.

I liked the screens , but I loved the sweeps with Calvin Hill

Can tell you watched a lot of Cowboy games back in the early 70s because Hill was great on those sweeps. Hill was one of my favorite Cowboy players he only played 6 seasons in Dallas. Was heartbroken when he was released in 1976 and signed with the hated Commanders.
