Many aren't going to like this, but I'd haul Dak in and tell him this

I found it and am already posting.

4 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 turnovers, 2-3 pressures. Yeah, where was Micah? Where was the lion who said he was going to show up? Saw nothing but a cub. Even Deebo Samuel tweeted after the game making fun of Micah and his lackluster performance.
Did you see him blow any easy tackles or miss any make able plays?

Me neither

But I do think it's great that we're holding a guy halfway through his rookie deal to the same standard as a 7 year vet making elite QB money.

Bottom line, defense gave up 19 (16) points in a road playoff game. They did their job. They're exempt

Water is nice and sweet, especially when one adds y'alls Dak hating tears knowing full well Dak is coming back next season.
If anybody wondered at all where AC's loyalties lie then let this post be your answer.

AC is a Dak fan, not a Cowboys fan.

I'll be bookmarking this one just in case you try and pretend you're a Cowboys fan in the future.

Why should he take a discount? Lead his team to another 12 win season running the #1 offense football. Dropped 300 yards and 5 TD's in a playoff win last week and lost to the better team and #1 defense this week.

We would have plenty of money if we werent wasting 18 million on a turd like Zeke.
The Dak tards are out in full force.

I'd haul Dak in and tell him this:

You're our guy, but every team that's poised to compete or that has competed for long stretches has had a QB willing to take a discount. I want you to sign for another 5 years at $40MM per, $120MM guaranteed, and I want it now. You will be guaranteed to have earned over a quartet of a billion dollars as a Cowboy. If we can't get this done, we're moving off you in two years even if it means we start a rookie. We WILL NOT pay you top of the market even if you win the next two SBs. We simply can't pay the skill players we need to put around you if you eat up the cap.

$40MM/yr will be a bargain three years from now. What say you all? I already know what the Dak haters will say, but QBs don't grow on trees.
It won't happen. Brady was never the highest-paid QB in the league for exactly this reason. He knew the value of bringing in top players.

Jason Whitlock was right when he said that Dak asking for that ridiculous contract would basically put too much pressure and he would fold.
So Dak is the only QB ever to ask for more money. It was the Market price at the time. Whitlock is an idiot. Whitlock thinks he should just take whatever his boss offers him and be happy.

The Niners were the better team. Simple as that.

Over analyze and blame it all on Dak all you want.

I critique the whole team.
You need to wake up! Dak stunk! The Cowboys had a chance to win that game with that defensive performance. The expectations for the Cowboys are to win a SB but their trying to do that with the weakest playoff QB. This is not the Jaguars where they were happy to make the playoffs. By the way Trevor Lawrence would of won that game.

We desperately need a QB that can extend plays with his feet.

Dak is a mediocre pocket passer that’s stuck in the pocket.

To be honest... I'm not really sure how badly the Jones family wants to win either. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to have bragging rights and I am sure Jerry would love to win another SB and walk into the annual owner's meeting with his chest puffed out but wins and losses do not affect the bottom line of Dallas Cowboys Inc. LLC. It hasn't for over 30 years.

I've been patient with Dak, but he is what he is. This was a winnable game, and his play was instrumental in losing it.
You said it much more succinctly than I could......perfect.....depressingly perfect.

Whitlock apparently thinks pay should be commensurate with ability and performance

That's not idiotic at all

What about all this money Jerry and son saved last year by not signing Cooper, Gregory and others? What they plan on doing with that.

I don't listen to anything Cain has to say. We will see next year. Dak is our QB. He has to play better next year. Protect the ball. Get rid of that side line curl. Not his strength. Tony had trouble with that too.
He's 30. He's regressing. He's already played his best football long ago. And you want to continue with this?
