I'm not talking down about the Dallas Cowboys here. Its not like the Jimmy Johnson/Barry Switzer teams where you really did have a bunch of thugs getting in trouble outside the field.

It just seems like there are lots of young kids watching this game, and for them to see grown men listening to this kind of music sets a bad example.

Grown men can listen to whatever type of music they wish. Your opinion is what it is, your opinion, not law.

It should be law when it is our money funding their profession.

Let me get this straight, because you buy a ticket to a game or buy a cap or tshirt, you should have the right to tell someone how to live their life?

That really has to be one of the silliest things posted here.

If the fact that a football player listens to rap music bothers you that much, don't watch football.

The next time I see my telephone guy or electric serviceman I will be sure to let them know what they should have for lunch. After all, it is my money that is funding their profession...

The players are kids for the most part.

Then its the job of the ownership and coaches to culture and teach them to be educated and responsible citizens with an appreciation for culture, not garbage.

The huge difference is that football players are seen by many as role models and they have national exposure, so their influence is immense.

I don't blame the players though, they are just acting as they did when they came into the league. Its the fault of the ownership and coaches that they haven't set tighter standards for public morality.

Dude, just quit. You are making yourself seem more and more like a biased pig with every comment. So now you want ownership and coaches to enforce YOUR beliefs?

You seem to be missing the point.. This is your opinion, nothing more. What makes your opinion so special? Again, if you don't like rap music, dont listen to it. If the fact that someone does like it bothers you so much, get a life!

This is just classic. So now anyone that listens to rap music is irresponsible and has no culture.. I am beginning to think you truely are a biased pig.

Not at all. I just think there should be a universal honor code and public morality.

But it is not your call to decide what is honorable or moral. This is America, Adolf, we get to make our own choices here that is part of what makes this country so great.

Again, listening to rap music makes someone dishonorable or immoral? This is some of the most biased, bigoted crap I have ever seen on this board. You can't diguise it with claims of universal honor and public morality, it is just you spewing biased, bigoted crap. Borderline disgusting actually.

Whoa...you act like I'm advocating playing white power music. Not at all. What I am advocating is music that everyone can find agreeable and respectful. At your job, would you be allowed to do what they are doing on the job? I don't think so.

That's why I'm not going to Fed Ex for games until they take that garbage like "Walk It Out" away and Gibbs stops letting the defense dance around between plays.

If any of you have seen the real music video to "Walk It Out", its definately not the example that should be set for our children.

Did you ever play sports? Did you ever listen to music to get you pumped up? What was it...?

I can just imagine the opening kickoff about to go down and Fed Ex Field has a little Jim Croce blaring through the speakers... Yeah that'd go over real well.

No, you are wanting your beliefs and opinions forced on to others. No matter what your beliefs or opinions are, that is never the answer.

Now you are trying to flip flop. When I previously mentioned the telephone man or an electric serviceman, that didn't apply because it was all so different. Now you are trying to reference the same type of thing and it applies? Again, I would just hush if I were you. You are making yourself look like a bigot.

Their job is a game, you idiot.

:laugh2: So rapping requires no talent? Rappers are failed singers who resorted to rap? :lmao2: So there aren't horrible "studio" singers with no talent? Brilliant post. What type of music do you listen to?

WOW, I touched a nerve.

I did not say that rapping required no talent. It does require the gift of rhythm and rhyme, but the talent to sing is not essential as I see it. Now, admittedly, their are probably many rap stars who have great singing voices, however that is not what their genre of music highlights.

Did I say they were failed singers who resorted to rap? No. I guess my post may have inferred that, but I did not mean for it to come out that way. it was more a failed attempt at humor. ;)

Is there horrible "studio singers" with no talent? absolutely, however as with the case with rap music, believe it or not there is a market of consumer demand for even marginally talented singers. (see american idol)

As for what music I listen to, you probably wouldn't understand if I told you. You may have never heard of the genre. I will say this, I am a musican, songwriter, and singer. I had a song in my genre that I wrote nominated for song of the year for 2006, and while it didn't win, it was a top ten song nationwide.

Like I said, to each his own. It's a free country.

I am a college student and in the summer, I intern at a well respected company that is a Fortune 500 company.

They allow us to listen to music while we do our jobs.

There is no restriction on what music we can listen too; the only restriction is that its not too 'loud' as to disturb some of the sales people who are making calls, etc.

I listened to everything from rock, metal, to rap. And I was hardly alone. In viewing the iTunes library on the network, many people were listening to similar stuff.
