:laugh2: So rapping requires no talent? Rappers are failed singers who resorted to rap?

So there aren't horrible "studio" singers with no talent? Brilliant post. What type of music do you listen to?
WOW, I touched a nerve.
I did not say that rapping required no talent. It does require the gift of rhythm and rhyme, but the talent to sing is not essential as I see it. Now, admittedly, their are probably many rap stars who have great singing voices, however that is not what their genre of music highlights.
Did I say they were failed singers who resorted to rap? No. I guess my post may have inferred that, but I did not mean for it to come out that way. it was more a failed attempt at humor.
Is there horrible "studio singers" with no talent? absolutely, however as with the case with rap music, believe it or not there is a market of consumer demand for even marginally talented singers. (see american idol)
As for what music I listen to, you probably wouldn't understand if I told you. You may have never heard of the genre. I will say this, I am a musican, songwriter, and singer. I had a song in my genre that I wrote nominated for song of the year for 2006, and while it didn't win, it was a top ten song nationwide.
Like I said, to each his own. It's a free country.
