We were decimated by injury at 1T. Paea got hurt and retired. Price hurt his knee. Ash hurt his shoulder. Collins was inserted and was playing on a foot fracture.

Despite all of that the 1T was not ever a problem. This 1T fascination is ideology that is not based in reality. Nick Hayden is gone.

The DL was a strength and will remain a strength.

Collins is a better 3 Tech. That was obvious last year. Price and Ash are backup types.

True, they are but, they are going to have to hold up until someone better comes along in TC.

LVEs development probably would benefit from a block eating monster that could keep guards off of him so I am a bit surprised that they didn’t support their investment in LVE with an investment at 1-Tech.

The Dline is full of depth which fits perfectly for us to rotate fresh players in constantly like The Eagles did last year. Our dline will be healthy, fresh and hungry next season. What more can you honestly ask for?

I stand corrected. i could be wrong but I was thinking of those late 90's early 2000's picks like Shante Carver, Quincy Carter. Don't know if he was part of that dismal drafting years.

No, he was responsible for the dismal drafting years from 1978 through 1987 that led the Cowboys to 3-13 in 1988, and ended up leading to Jones and Johnson coming to Dallas.

Teams were already combo and double teaming Ash and Price.

Another draft, another failure to put any real assets into the 1 Tech. Guess it will be Collins and Price.

But we took another low ceiling, high motor player in Armstrong, a quintessential Marinelli pick. Settle is sitting there and we take a decent but likely backup caliber DE prospect that plays hard.

I really don’t understand why this franchise fears or eschews putting even some decent assets into the DT spot.
You don't like Jihad Ward?

ever tried putting a square peg through a round hole? It doesn't happen, the sooner you realize it the better you will know this team.

It is because it is a $ multi billion franchise ran by 10 cent football minds ...that’s all I got...

They consider it a rotation position and will not invest heavily becuz of that.

Simple.

You can't have #1 picks at all positions.

So they do it with numbers.

Insanity; Doing the same thing over & over again looking for different or better results.
Can't happen, won't happen... until there's change,... change in ownership, change in the front office...for results to change, the hierarchy has to change. I know it may sound cruel but if ur over the age of idk lets say 30 then u know this to be true.."Change" it's inevitable...it make take some time, it may take a lifetime but for in order for the results to change ur going to have to Change one of the two. It's really that simple
