Marinelli likes to coach up his defensive players. If they do good he can claim the credit.

Another draft, another failure to put any real assets into the 1 Tech. Guess it will be Collins and Price.

But we took another low ceiling, high motor player in Armstrong, a quintessential Marinelli pick. Settle is sitting there and we take a decent but likely backup caliber DE prospect that plays hard.

I really don’t understand why this franchise fears or eschews putting even some decent assets into the DT spot.
Cause the franchise doesn't see the value in a player that sees the field like a nose tackle, fullback, Jimmy knew the importance of every position. Daryl Johnston and Russel Maryland.

Clearly huh? I see nothing of the sort. If DLaw has a repeat of last year I think its clear that they open the checkbook and pay him.
I said clearly they are looking. IF he has another really good year and stays healthy, I'm all for resigning him. But we just got some insurance in case he doesn't.

And that's not even considering what happens with Gregory.

Well only one them is semi good in that department. I am not sure what the other one does other than clap.
“and the season degenerated into a fiasco due to a rash of injuries to the offensive line. The season was also marked by disputes with star players such as Steven Jackson, Torry Holt, and, most notoriously, quarterback Marc Bulger. Holt and Jackson openly feuded with Linehan on the sidelines during games. The easygoing Linehan didn't discipline them, leading to criticism that he wasn't willing to assert his authority.”

I thought this was interesting. Linehan was blessed with megatron in Detroit so the jury is still out on whether he is better than Garret.

SMH......this mentality....not u the person..but this mentality is ........ poisoning......our fan base suffers from it in droves

I’m secretly hoping for Vea over two games to show our FO that they’re idiots. Still expecting a win in both but I want our brain trust to get the point.

You know I get a great deal of flack for this philosophy ur oozing out so trust me I identify with ur spill & agree totally. I've been like this since we drafted Sean Lee. That particular draft I clamored for Tay Cody in the 2nd round & was livid when I saw we picked a often injured undersized linebacker & Cowboys fans really don't know that Lee has always been injury proned. Now I admit I was wrong in a sense because Lee has been better than I predicted but yet he hasn't because he's rarely available when I need him the most. Although I was wrong in that particular equation My football philosophy wasn't wrong & it's so simple. You stock talent, high talent on both sides of the line. The same zest& know how u do for the offense line you do for the defensive line. You never see teams in the NFC championship games with sub par D-lines.. never so for the life of me I never understood why the resources we put there are constant undersized light DT's from the Ratliffs of the world to Hayden's, McLain's,& currently Collins. This philosophy of having light DT's to play 1 tech in our defense never & will never work. Trust me on that. Show me a team whose philosophy is this& it generates success. You can't & you won't. It doesn't happen, so why are we so gong- ho about it. It's maddening to I get to the point like u& I cheer for failure just to prove to the Cowboys brass that that philosophy doesn't translate for successful winning football teams. Until this philosophy is evacuated & goes to what real traditional football is made of that's Stout sound defensive lines. My fault champ I might be slightly off my rocker when I discuss this matter.
