Insanity; Doing the same thing over & over again looking for different or better results.
Can't happen, won't happen... until there's change,... change in ownership, change in the front office...for results to change, the hierarchy has to change. I know it may sound cruel but if ur over the age of idk lets say 30 then u know this to be true.."Change" it's inevitable...it make take some time, it may take a lifetime but for in order for the results to change ur going to have to Change one of the two. It's really that simple

Will never change, Jerry’s rules,
PAssed down to Stephen.
And Jerry has the best he’s man he could ever have in Garrett. He does not want to lose that.

Righteous kinfok.....it's things that my inner Cowboys circle think of & say that's not appropriate for these type of venues that it's sad to say but is really our only chance of things changing...it's disheartening like a ( explexitive)

He was passed by 162 times.

I thought he would go much earlier but we as fans must be missing something with him.
Probably so.
I didnt want him until mid to late 4th....but late 5th....jeesh

The Dline is full of depth which fits perfectly for us to rotate fresh players in constantly like The Eagles did last year. Our dline will be healthy, fresh and hungry next season. What more can you honestly ask for?

Stop. How many years do we hear this? Our DTs are spares besides Irving. Way undersized. LVE's weakness is that he gets swallowed up by the blockers. So would it not make sense to beef up the DT so they can't get a big push? Oh that's right. Logic and this front office don't mix. But hey, at least we got another TE that is a Swaim clone and a thousand more WRs that won't ever be used! Yay.

Another draft, another failure to put any real assets into the 1 Tech. Guess it will be Collins and Price.

But we took another low ceiling, high motor player in Armstrong, a quintessential Marinelli pick. Settle is sitting there and we take a decent but likely backup caliber DE prospect that plays hard.

I really don’t understand why this franchise fears or eschews putting even some decent assets into the DT spot.
Clearly they are looking at not having to pay Lawrence and Irving big money next year.

Ward and Armstrong may be able replacements in a year.

That pick made no sense to me. We already had a boatload of DEs. Is there anyone besides Marinelli who wouldn't have preferred Settle?

how many times do we have to go over this, the cowboys do not value having a 1 tech in their scheme....if they did they would have drafted one many times over.....

you are saying the same thing that is being said in other threads and is said every year. Why cant you come to the realization, they dont value one and are not going to do what you want them to.

Right. That has worked out do well for the cowboys. Why were they supossedly high on vita vea then?

I stand corrected. i could be wrong but I was thinking of those late 90's early 2000's picks like Shante Carver, Quincy Carter. Don't know if he was part of that dismal drafting years.

So then it's you that doesn't know what they're talking about and not a draft legend like Gil Brandt.

Noted.

What about the rest of what I said? Are you saying the cowboys run defense was fine last season
sorry...only read the post where you quoted.

nope, i am not saying the cowboys run defense was fine last year at all but none of that matters since the dont value a 1 tech....again, its their scheme and this jihad guy sounds like another 3 tech....

I hear you man. I agree it is ridiculous. I wonder why homers seem to think drafting a one tech in the early rounds would be so detrimental?I suspect it boils down to homers would have to admit that rods views on defensive tackle are wrong, and we know they could neve bring themselves to critize the coaching staff

I agree with some that Brian price is a good player who showed promise and I'm glad
The cowboys signed him to a extension. However good teams ate always looking to upgrade their roster and add depth. How many three techs do the cowboys have now that they traded for that ward guy? Four or five. How many true one techs? 2
