Williams is going to be released soon. He's verbally stated that he isn't a fit for Rex Ryan's defense and the Bills have said they will release him.He says he will play with a chip on his shoulder next year . He is 31 years old but he is still one of the best 4-3 DE in the game. He brings a nastiness to him,he is outstanding vs the run, and he will grab double digit sacks. I would offer him 3 years 30 million dollars. It's the perfect contract because Lawrence and Gregory will both be in their prime and we won't miss a beat after he retires.

Jerry is going to spend big this offseason . He's going to grab a top CB in free agency , a DT , and possibly a safety . But this is the guy I want. Would be an excellent mentor for Gregory and Dlaw . Veteran DE's have worked before. Reggie White to GB/Haley to Dallas/ Ware to Denver . They all ended up with championships ! He'll be our Reggie white /dware with that leadership and pass rush and help bring Romo a championship.

Where are you reading Jerry will spend big this offseason ? I wish he would but rarely ever does !!!

The times Jerry has spent big in free agency it hasn't done any good. He spent big on Carr a few years ago an average corner who's been a liability. Most teams get screwed in free agency the Broncos are one of the few teams that really benefitted with the free agents they brought in a couple of years ago to solidify their defense. You would have to go back a ways to find a free agent signing that made a significant impact for the Cowboys. Deion and TO were a couple of the few that made a big impact. Most great teams are built through the draft. Free agency is a way to supplement your team but if you go overboard you can become cap strapped.

He may have only missed one game, but the guy is constantly pulling himself out or grabbing at something. He also has one of the most inconsistent motors in the game. You're right, I don't like Mario Williams, for this team. He's an "over the hump" player and this team is definitely more than one DE away from a Super Bowl--look what adding Hardy did...

And seriously, you're citing Jared Allen as evidence for your argument? The guy barely played this season.

As much as I sound like I don't like Williams, you sound like so many others who just want to throw big names at holes on the team.

He's a quitter. He absolutely gave up when he didn't get to play how he wanted.

The most frustrating part of off season.

Some would have Santa in here if he wasn't obligated for the holidays.

DEN spent huge and it paid off. You have to pick the right guys whether it is the draft, free agency or re-signing your own players.

DEN bought Peyton, Talib, DWare, TJ Ward, Chris Harris, Sanders, Vasquez.

You just have to choose wisely.

I'm seriously doubtful that Dallas will see fit to acquire Mario Williams for the kind of money he is certain to demand. They may well acquire a vet FA of lesser stature, however, for less money.

I believe there's also a good chance that a talented and promising DE will become an early pick in the upcoming draft, probably no later than the 2nd round. I'll betcha the FO in Dallas agrees.
