I take what Schlereth says with a grain of salt. The guy is a former 49er and Commander and a well known Cowboys hater.

I take almost what any media head says with a grain of salt. Real, objective criticism or praise occurs in the backrooms away from the media lights after watching hours of film. I remember so many talking heads saying Dak should continue to play in 2016 when Romo was healthy, and that will always be the wrong decision, one made by two of the worst GMs and head coaches in the league.

Don’t forget Broncos, that’s where he won his ring with.

Yeah, no. There isn't a fan on this board with an ounce of sanity who still thinks Daddy&Son are concerned about winning. Say what you want about Dak, but this FO has completely checked out.
It sounds like the fans have checked out.

We have to figure out why our regular seasons aren’t translating to the playoffs. Our best players aren’t showing up in the playoffs. Our best regular season performances aren’t showing up in the playoffs. Our worst regular season performances are showing up in postseason and it’s become very troubling.
LOL
Its called building a team that will travel
QB, OL, DL, RB, MLB, TE, and safety are priorities along with discipline and accountability . Not WR and CB that people tout.
Now that Jim Harbaugh is back, watch what he does.
Im betting he takes the positions im talking about

It's funny seeing the Romofanatics propping up Romo for rightfully coming back in the same game from a broken rib (which after the game was realized it had punctured his lung) to lead the team to an overtime win, yet at the same time criticize Dak for failing to lead the Cowboys to a win against the Eagles with the playoffs on the line and playing with a torn meniscus in his throwing shoulder and a fractured index finger in his throwing hand back in late December of 2019. Yet, the week before in mid December of 2019 when playing at the Rams, Dak was playing with that broken index finger which he suffered the week/game before that, suffered a torn meniscus in his throwing should early in the 1st quarter when Clay Matthews landed ugly on Dak shoulder as he was tackling him, yet Dak sucked it up and led the Cowboys to a much needed 44 - 21 victory in order to stay tied with the Eagles for the chance to win the division and make the playoffs.

Oh, it's praise for Romo but knives and pitchforks for Dak for doing the same. Got it.

It's just two narratives, Dak made Brady retire, right, and Romo went Hollywood, huh?

Romo suffered the injury when Niners linebacker Ahmad Brooks hit him on a 25-yard completion to tight end Jason Witten on the game's third play. Romo managed to get through the first half but missed all but 37 seconds of the third quarter as the medical staff waited for pain-killing medicine to take effect. (link)

So now you're complaining for 37 measly seconds?

Dak did make Brady retire just like Dak made Romo retire as well.

FACTS

Not my problem you can't handle the truth.
LOL. Brady was retiring after the season anyway.

And Dak didn’t make Romo retire. Jerry and Jason Garrett did. Oh, and $17 million per year in the broadcast booth. That’s a big difference. By the following year Garrett was gone.

Dak can win, but must have everything go exactly right around him to succeed. The deer in headlights thing is a visual I can't get past in the last couple of playoff games Dak has had. Which means a .500 year at best. Because we have a lack of talent everywhere on defense. Even if we bat .1000 in the draft, its never been done finding that many crucial starters in 1 draft that can elevate the team the same year. MAYBE the 1985 Bears.

Believe any make believe lies if it will help you sleep better. No way in Hell Brady would have retired after the 2022 season if Brady and the Bucs would have won and advanced in the playoffs. Brady’s marriage was already falling apart. He would have stuck around if winning in the playoffs had happened and shown there was something to keep fighting for since his marriage was already finishing up.

Dude, the team was 8-9 and getting worse. He was retiring. And even if he wasn’t, the idea the Dak made who many consider the GOAT at QB retire is absurd to everyone except “Dak-Stans”.

Kurt Warner repeatedly keeps breaking down and explaining what went wrong with Dak's interceptions during the last couple of playoffs. Why are people intentionally avoiding this?

Because then they would have to admit the failures and that he isnt the answer. They are dug in.
