So let's clarify here why we should extend this top 5 QB.
2 playoff wins one against an 8-9 team and a home win vs the Hawks (Just say thank you Zeke on this one) and 2 wins from 2016.

Man, you Dak lovers sure have a low bar when it pertains to QB talents and accomplishments!!!! :muttley:
If we don’t extend him who can we get that’s better? You’re a Dak who could care less who replaces him.

Dak is the SUPERBOWL champion of ifs and Excuses......................The end!
And you are the forum champion of obsessive compulsive nonsensical posts about our quarterback.

Sorry mountain I didn't mean to leave you out but this guy is even more of a repetitive drone then you are.
THE END!! REALLY IF THAT WAS ONLY THE TRUTH YOU ARE JUST LIKE A BAD PENNY THAT KEEPS TURNING UP.

It shouldn't be hard man considering his accomplishments in 8 seasons.
No offense, but nothing to write home about!!! :omg:

Wow, that YouTuber is annoying. But I don’t disagree with Mark Schlereth that Dak is one of the best or the best QB in the NFC. If you only count the regular season. The YouTuber contradicted himself when he said what’s the point of making a Super Bowl if you don’t win it. What’s the point of winning playoff games if you don’t win the Super Bowl. Well…. Exactly. What’s the point of leading the league in TDs and QBR if you don’t win in the playoffs? Same logic applies.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Dak in the regular season is a top 5-7 QB. Dak in the postseason is a bottom 27-32 QB. Dak is 2-6 in win or go home games. That’s it. We would have won the exact amount of playoff games starting Trey Lance all season.

Also I do firmly and very strongly agree with Mark Schelereth that it’s not all on Dak and it’s a systemic organization problem. The problem with Romo and Dak is they hid the systemic organizational problems of the ownership and GM. I personally feel it would be good for us to go to 3 or 4 wins a season so Stephen is not fooled into thinking he’s a football guy and he hires a football guy after Jerry departs this world.

He has 4 NFC East titles in 8 years. That’s the most since Troy Aikman. It’s going to be difficult finding another QB who can consistently get us to the playoffs like he has with the issues we’ve had with the running game, defense and leading the league in penalties…FACT!

They’re saying the exact same thing I’ve been preaching. It’s more about the team than Dak. It was the same with Romo, it was the team. We’re not going to get over the hump with any QB with no running game, a piss-poor defense and stupid penalties in the playoffs. It’s the “team” holding us back not the QB.
Team is built by the GM.

Coaches are picked by the GM.

Culture is created by the GM.

Seeing a pattern yet???

The problems with the team all start at the top. That’s no mystery.

Winning the NFC-E is not such a great feat. Aside from the eagles that division sucks! Fact.

Mark schlareth is correct Dak is a top 10 quarterback in this league and probably top three in the NFC

That said he is not your guy to overcome a coaching staff that can't prepare for a playoff game.

He cannot turn back the clock on an offensive line that has gotten long in the tooth and cannot run block anymore.

He will take off and try and run the ball and get first downs to make up for the lack of running game.

He cannot fix the defense that has no defensive tackles to stop the run and is trying to substitute safeties for linebackers.

One thing he can do is help the franchise help him by signing a cap friendly contract that allows us to put enough talent around him so he can succeed.

All we have here brother is the inexcusable.
Like where do you want me to start I could go on with an epitaph of inexcusable things involving this franchise.
The way our coach prepared us for that playoff game that's an excusable.

Drafting a defensive tackle in the first round to stop the run and then having him lose weight that's inexcusable.

Jerry's ineptness as our general manager for the last 30 years is inexcusable.

His idiot son managing the cap and keeping us three or four players away from actually being able to compete is inexcusable.

I could go on but it is Easter and you probably get my point.

I'm in the camp of if some of the other inexcusable things were fixed and these are things that have gone on for 30 years I think doc may not have to be excused he could actually be successful.

That said he has to help us help him he cannot hold the team's feet to the fire and expect to reset the quarterback market and have us surround him with the talent he needs to succeed.
Make no mistake he is not worth more money than Patrick mahomes

Come on, I hear you, but you know damn well he is not going to give a discount to the Cowboys. He knows who he is and what he can do, so if he knows a good deal he is going to take it because there is not another team that will pay him what he wants and him and his agent know that.

This inflation of “Dak beating Brady” to prop the former up and the victory as a signature win is hilarious. It was an 8-9 team, literally the worst division winner that year. Brady has been beat a number of times in the regular season and playoffs even when his team has been good. He just hasn’t been beat that many times when his team has been good. But to expect him to overcome all on his own a team that was 8-9 during the regular season and barely made the playoffs at the end of his career against a better team is even asking too much.
