Not the ideal way to end his career
If he restructures to the teams benefit (like really helps the cap) and is willing to come back for his final year, I would take him…..maybe he really was hamstrung all year with nagging injuries and would be better next year….also leaves one less roster spot to fill via draft or free agency. Really would depend on how much injuries held him back AND if they make it work it cost wise vs drafting another guard.

Both, he's 34 years old. He's done, but the injury made it worse
It’s “only” his 11th season….i say that knowing 11 years is a good career, but plenty of o linemen have played 13-14 years ie Larry Allen and Nate newton, both of which were PB players in year 12 and 13. Perhaps it really was nagging injuries that make him play so bad and he comes back better next season, after a contract restructure of course…..if he makes it cost effective, saves us from filling that roster spot too.

Martin must have been really banged up, if you look at his performance and him needing surgery.

They made the PB off name recognition only

When the Cowboys come back and win the Super Bowl this year, he's going to wish he had toughed it out ...

:muttley:

I say you leave it as is. Don't give em the laughing dog or any emoticons.

If they can't see your sarcasm on their own they don't deserve it.

It's the @Risen Star effect. :D

The sarcasm is lost amongst the frustration of fans, so I tend to want to get out in front of it despite it losing something in doing so.

The problem is a lot of stupid things are posted here; so telling them from sarcasm can get tough

nothing lost.

for teh ones saying wasted career, wrong, players and coaches know what Dallas is about, if you are drafted here, pull an Eli, if you come to coach here, JJ is the HC, just collect a check.

Its been dead for 29 years, with no signs of caring about that or turning things around.
