If someone like the Bungles offer a 3rd for the guy I say take it. He is NOT a kid. He is an adult and has supposedly been a pro for over 2 years. No more excuses. I don't care what kind of an upside he has he will never replace Witten while Witten is still playing as he is. So at what point do you look at a backup TE and decide that whatever POTENTIAL he has is not worth the headache? Phillips right now is the better all round TE as he has shown on the field. Sure Bennett has all this POTENTIAL - but lets be real: he is never going to do all that much. If we can get a pick THIS YEAR with the very talent heavy draft that we have, take it. It is not hard at all to get a good TE.

Employees can affect the perception of an organization. Which is why the NFL can fine players for legal problems. And in this specific case it makes the Cowboys organization look bad.
