Tight ends usually have a steep developmental curve and take time to make an impact. Those oversized receivers make an earlier impact like Bowers/Kincaid.Problem is this draft sucks.
You’re just trying to draft good players.
Even the high upside guys are gross.
This guy and Lamb playing off each other would be fun to watch.
Here's interesting nugget by Dana on RBs......this got me to thinking. If we miss on Jeanty......maybe trade down to get our 4th back and double dip the 4th and 5th round.Tight ends usually have a steep developmental curve and take time to make an impact. Warren needs some development as a route runner and as an inline blocker, and think he is a 600-700 yard player as a rookie, to me that isn’t worth the 12th pick, even in this draft. Usually you can find quality te’s after rd 1. Gronk, Kittle, Witten all weren’t 1st rd picks either
The only problem is we would have burned a 12th overall AND 4th rounder on WR position.........
BTW......take it for what it's worth
I’m hearing that the Cowboys love Miami’s Martinez and might even take him on day 2Here's interesting nugget by Dana on RBs......this got me to thinking. If we miss on Jeanty......maybe trade down to get our 4th back and double dip the 4th and 5th round.
Brugler: If Dallas focuses on the prospect who will make the greatest impact at No. 12, then Jeanty should absolutely be on the very short list of potential Cowboys. His vision and contact balance make him a tough guy to get on the ground. What I love the most about his game is the reactionary reads — he won’t predetermine his path, he has the instincts to read, sort and cut. Want a big-play creator? Jeanty had 12 carries of 50-plus yards in 2024. No other FBS player had more than five. He is a true every-down back and does much of his best work on passing downs, catching the football or blocking in pass pro.
For me, the No. 1 reason not to take Jeanty is the volume of backs available in the subsequent rounds. Tennessee’s Dylan Sampson on Day 2 would be a great fit in Dallas. Oregon’s Jordan James early on Day 3? Yes, please. The Cowboys could wait until the fifth round and still land a quality player like Texas Tech’s Tahj Brooks or Kansas State’s DJ Giddens. The options are plentiful and likely why I would look elsewhere than running back in the first round, even if Jeanty has special all over him.
Nah,some of us just don't think he's worth #12.All the Golden slander is just a way to push the agenda of wanting to go in a different direction with the first pick

At 12, you have a chance to get a 1st rd graded player where there may just be 12 of them in this years draft. Overdrafting a te makes little sense, if you are going to overdraft you take a valued positionAgain, the problem is this draft sucks and this guy is absolute quality.
I don’t think 12 is overdrafting for Warren. At 12, you have a chance to get a 1st rd graded player where there may just be 12 of them in this years draft. Overdrafting a te makes little sense, if you are going to overdraft you take a valued position
Agree to disagreeI don’t think 12 is overdrafting for Warren.
If he is there at pick 12 I think most would view it as he fell.
We just paid CD. We can't spend a first round pick on a #2 WR.
The path forward here defense. Last years defense was historically bad and one of the worst in the NFL, particularly against the run. We have gaping holes at DT, LB, CB, and S............... you don't build a team through the WR position. Why?
This team has no weapons to speak of besides CD.
WRs are extremely expensive and if Lamb gets hurt we got nothing.
There isn’t a position that Dallas could take besides QB that this team doesn’t need. We suck and lack talent all over.
