Mavs/Heat Finals thread

Haven't read all the posts from tonight's game, but I thought basically the Mavs did to the Heat what the Heat did to them the other night.
So they each stole a game from each other. They both played better than the other night, but there were some sloppily played possessions down the stretch.

I don't think the refs were a factor. There was some inconsistent calls, but none I thought were difference makers.

I disagree WG the Mavs have been terrible for all but about 7 minutes in this series.

We haven't came close to playing our best basketball and Dirk hasn't been Dirk the legend for almost the entire 2 games.

I can't believe we're staying in these games and playing so crappy at the same time.

They haven't really been playing their best since the first half of game 3 in the OKC series. They where pretty bad in all but the final 5 minutes of games 4 and 5

Probably because the Heat are much better defensively than OKC, I don't think anything will come easy this series.

While this is true, the fact is that Dallas is missing open shots that they were hitting in the first three rounds. If Terry and Peja get their touch back I think Dallas will win this, because the Heat are sacrificing open looks by choosing to double Dirk.

The only series Terry was really lights out in was against the Lakers, other than that, he's been shooting at about his season average. He had a very complete game last night, I don't know what more anyone can expect from him.

Peja, on the other hand, hasn't done a thing yet, so there might still be some upside there. You can only really put Peja in when Mike Miller is in though, because Peja can't defend Wade, Lebron or the Heat's forwards.

Plus with Marion playing so well on both offense and defense, it's really tough to take him off the floor.

This pic is all over the internet today. If Dallas goes on to win this thing, this pic could become one of those iconic sports images. It's just so perfect.

The "Caption This" possibilities are endless.

Dirk: I must break you.

The Heat are better defensively but it shouldn't matter for Dirk.

He is missing buckets he normally sinks.

Terry is just pulling his normal shtick so im not even trying to rely on that guy but Dirk playing average for Dirk is what is seperating us right now.

Even in game 1 where the Heat bench outplayed ours we still should've won if the German would've knocked down buckets like he normally does.

If he consistently plays like he has in game 1 and 2 we won't win but his confidence should be back through the roof now and coming home will help.

So damn pathetic. If someone did that during a pickup game he'd get punched in the face. What a little you know what.

Im surprised he didnt get the call.

Completely agreed. The look on his face is priceless, hysterical, and absolutely pathetic all at the same time.

I still don't get why he's holding his eye? Did Dirk hit him in the face? Why is he laying on the floor with his hand out?

DIRK is the man!! I couldn't believe the ending of that game! :laugh2: Go MAVS!!

No matter what happens that was a pretty darn sweet comeback by the Mavs last night.

If Dirk will just get it going again than I think the Mavs can wrap this series up soon.

I feel like we would win game 3 and 5. Have the Mavs up 3-2 heading back to Miami. (Knock on wood) Or we can just win 3 straight at home!
