Who locks up Dirk? I'm thinking Bosh, Haslem, and James have to take turns. That way you don't risk foul trouble for Bosh.

I'm picking the Heatles in 5. The Mavs are about to experience a D that they haven't even come close to facing in the west. They are tenacious all the way to the 3 pt line. Scoring for Miami's players as a whole should be easier than what they just went through with these Bulls. Oh and a King will be present in a #6 Heat jersey :worthy2:.

Yep, I was at the game in Dallas and the Mavs kicked the crap out of the Heat.

The 4 point call was legit, Lebron coming back down hitting a tough 3, DRose missing the 2nd FT, and then the last play by the bulls was another garbage shot. Don't put this on the refs, Chicago collapsed.

That is just not at all a call that should be made in that situation....not even remotely.
DRose did not have a great series, but he was not getting call when he drove the lane--at least not like the Heat stars were.

Chicago did blow it though, so the only finger to really point is at themselves.

Yes. Dallas won both times they played. It was not really close.

Not that the regular season meetings mean much except to gain some familiarity.

There are are only two guys out of 15 that are still around for the Mavs from that 2006 Finals. People forget that although the Heat won the series 4-2, 3 of the 4 wins were by 3 points or less. That series was a toss-up. Of course, the Heat lineup is radically different now too.

They are just two almost entirely different teams mentally and physically.

i hate the 2-3-2 format, i think its a huge disadvantage to the non home court team. i hope the mavs pull it off because i really dislike lebron and he will prob win 4 more titles before he is out of his prime.

although, its gonna be annoying hearing some mavs fans saying stupid things like this title was harder than all 4 spurs titles combined.....sigh i can already hear it

Dallas winning over Miami would be way more impressive than any Spurs titles. The Spurs never faced an opponent even close to as good as Miami. Also one of the Spurs titles was rigged. If Amare doesn't get suspended in 2007 for game 5 they dont beat Phoenix.

I just read it. Yeah, that's weak.
I really don't think that is representative of Mavs fans in general. And I'm hoping that was just a dumb, uh, I mean, ignorant, uh, I mean misinformed post. I haven't read his others so I don't know. My guess is that he just has an issue with the Spurs like you do with the mavs (fans, so you say).

Some of those Spurs teams were fabulous. And this Miami teams has starpower, but also has holes, imo.

Stackhouse is a really great guy. He he had been a Spur, you would have loved him.

Dumb comment though, if he really said Go Skins..even if he did grow up a Skins fan. He went to HS in Virginia, so I assume he was.

Of course, he was on the downside of his career when he was with the Mavs.

It's a tough series to predict. The pure athleticism of the Heat scares me, and unlike the Thunder they have more maturity and experience to draw from along with the athleticism. The Mavs are playing well though, and if Terry can step up to help carry the scoring load - as he very clearly can - and if Chandler can be a presence in the middle, I like our chances as a balanced team with a deep bench.
