Not this again, but Cuban didn't bring them out of the dregs -- Don Nelson did.

And I kind of get why people are giving Lebron such a hard time, but IMO Wade deserves it more. Sitting out half the game because of a bruise? And then playing like nothing was wrong with him? I can't use the proper term for him on a family-friendly board.

Don Nelson deserves credit but the Mavs came up when Cuban bought the team almost immediately. Ross Perot ran this team to make money. Even under Nelson, Perot's tight fist cost us good players. We were ran like a very small market team. Cuban's spending is why we have had the string us success we have had including plenty of post Don success.

Don Nelson also killed this team at times because he was very certain in taking his extended Hawaiian off-seasons. Wouldn't have been an issue if he wasn't more than Head Coach but he was. GM's do not get off-seasons.

Cuban has hurt this team with his ref-bashing and media headlines at times; but it is telling that he has been able to stay church mouse quiet during this playoff run. He pays a heck of a lot of salary cap tax right now and willingly loses money most years on the Mavs. This year he paid Peja and Corey Brewer as extra pieces when many owners would have just rode what they had.

I'm afraid this has the makings of last year's finals all over again.

Don't expect mavs to get any calls on Sunday. Heat in a blowout. Then it'll be up in the air on Tuesday. Coming down to the last 5 minutes.

im afraid you might be right, i think the league wants a game 7, and that wont be good for the mavs its very rare for a road team to win a game 7 in the finals

Going into this series I expected a Heat bias, but honestly if there has been any favoritism at all so far it has been in Dallas' favor. I think if the league wanted the Heat to win it would have already happened. Miami didnt get a lot of "home cooking" in the first two games and I'll be surprised if anything changes. This is great TV, I doubt the league would jeopordize it with a controversial game like we had in '06.

That being said, I'll be somewhat surprised if this doesnt go seven. I just can't see Dallas winning three straight against Miami.

I don't know. They say if ESPN/ABC gets a 7th game, the Disney get a gazillion dallars. The joke is (and today's espn.com) that Chandler has 2 fouls already for game 6 and that entire Mavs team may fould out if that;s what it takes.

Guess we'll see.

I will say this: so far the refs have been fairly balanced--even though the networks are making it all about either the Heat winning or losing.

Miami blew ONE game. They had game two and gave it away. Dallas took games four and five.

Sounds like you are slowing changing your tune. Where's your "Mavs are chokers" sign?

J.A. Adande, ESPN.com: Wade has extra time to heal. One of the big stories of the Finals is the Heat's inability to wrap up two games they had in hand.

Quoted for truth. The NBA is about to go through one of the most contentious labor negotiations with its union this side of the NHL's last deal. The NBA is losing money, paying out huge contracts for players who don't perform to the level of the contract, and the guaranteed contract looks like its about to go the way of the dodo.

If the officiating is really poor like it was in 2006 in either of these last two games, it's going to turn off a lot of the casual fans and more will be driven off by the interruption of play by the labor negotiations.

The worst possible thing to happen to the NBA will be a phantom call at a critical point in the game that will put a nasty taint on what has been an epic NBA finals. That happens, and the league's credibility will go out the window. I'm sure that Mark Cuban would not let it go unnoticed if he gets hosed again.

That said, I like the guy. Genius who's a self-made billionaire. American dream, personified.

JA Adande is an idiot who has made a career out of race-baiting and making outlandish statements for the purpose of making headlines. My left nut knows more about sports.

This is a pretty ridiculous statement, just because you don't agree with the journalist or he doesn't share your views on something doesn't make him an idiot, you could argue that all the wins by both teams were blown by the other team since there haven't been any clear, blowout games.

Bottom line is neither team has played to their full potential and both could have won any of the games so far, no exceptions

Dirk Nowitzki said Saturday that Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were ''a little childish, a little ignorant'' in a video that appears to show them mocking the Mavericks star's recent illness

so whos going to win game six -

Bulletin Board Material

http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/...n-James-for-mocking-illness-061111/?GT1=39002

Nowitzki clearly didn't see anything humorous about it. He considered them implying he may not have been sick.
''I've been in this league for 13 years. I've never faked an injury or an illness before,'' Nowitzki said. ''But (the video) happened. It's over to me. It's not going to add anything extra to me. This is the NBA finals. If you need an extra motivation, you have a problem.''

either Dirk hangs 40 on them or Dallas Mavs get blown out

the more people talk smack to lebron, the more he shrinks, he might have a good game, but it wont be because of this. and thats besides the fact that what dirk said is 100% true
