All I did was point out that Mazi had a quiet first outing, and was met with passive aggressive, sideways accusations that I don't know football, or what I'm talking about.

What was I supposed to say for a guy who had just 1 tackle all night while the Jags out gained us on the ground by 50 yards or so? A first round pick should have at least had 5 to 8 tackles last night.
Donalds best year was 84 combined.. you want Mazi to double that starting in PS game1?

So you guys are going to do this with Mazi too? Ugh…so annoying.

He’s a rookie. Let him do his job.
every year ....every . single. year

its a post after 1 preseason game like this

its like theyre expecting Aaron Donald type production preseason game 1 and if they dont get it, its an issue and the guy we let walk is this all star unicorn that we were dumb to let go

Not like we could’ve gotten a blocking TE in the 6th round or something.
Well the Cowboys and I think he's more than that. Which is why his athletic testing is off the charts. Brings us back to the ridiculous idea of declaring someone a disappointment after three practice days

What I find funny, is when all of us learned to walk, we sucked at it. Mazi's first preseason game. Nobodies going to walk, run, do jumping jacks out of the block ladies and gentlemen.
If my child aint sprinting by 2 weeks imma go to the doctors and ask whats wrong...ive been teaching him but his brother is 7 years old and sprinting already.....

How can you tell an apple tree is actually an apple tree? ( whistling.........) Answer: By the fruit it produces. Another way of saying the cliche, talk is cheaper, show it.

When the Cowboys drafted Mazi, the sell job was " he is a great athlete". The Cowboys will coach the NFL into him. Well, a meanless preseason game and training camps, the Dallas Cowboys staff is not producing the fruit they were selling....so far. The staff couldn't do it with John Ridgeway after selling him when he was drafted. Dallas cut him and was picked up by the Commanders, who is a starters for them now.
Not giving up on Mazi, nor did he have a bust game, but being a #1 pick, the 1st showing was somewhat yawning.

And your 2nd round pick --right now --- looks like your 3rd string TE.

Want to see why Dallas can't sniff a NFC Conference game in 30 years, the groceries are bought from ALDI store
(Side note: OL was B-A-D and if just one starter goes down, look out )

Hasnt to be the dumbest post yet.

10-15 plays and your worried about bearing fruit?

Peeps expect exactly what from a 1st round 1tech?
He is already doing what he is supposed to do, he is just a rook and got a welcome to the NFL in his very first live action at this level.
I don't know what most are expecting from a stud 1 tech, but my guess is that most don't understand the true 1 tech role.
Agree, however this 1 tech was flavored as an athletic 3 tech. All that he needs is to be shown a proper stance and he will transform into Cortez Kennedy.

It is apparent to me you did not see the Mazi stairs leap frog video? All pro was guaranteed after that gem.

mazi looked ok last night. he justs needs work and get stronger so he can push the olineman better. he looks like he might be a good rotation player this year and hopefully makes some plays for the defense. first year is sometimes hard for d-lineman.

he is plenty strong, strongest guy on the team right now.. he needs to get a feel for how the OL's are going to reach for him so he can split doubles...he ate them up last night which is good for a 1 tech once he learns to split them he will be jumping off the tape.

Timb if he doesnt have 3 sacks his first PS game why did we draft him?.. its crazy its almost like our 1tech was eating blockers what the hell are we teaching him?????
....3 sacks minimum lol or hes gotta go

he held his ground on double teams...didnt much move and it was a stalemate

he does that in the regular season and that leaves 3 offensive lineman against Parsons, Lawrence, Osi, Hankins, and Williams (rotation)

i like those odds

Today has been one of this forums most embarrassing performances. You can tell the trolls are super anxious that the team is going to be really good and they are trying to get as many hits in before the real bullets start flying

if thats his base he will be worth it, i think with his strength and work he puts in he will get the moves down to split the doubles and once that happens he will be a monster.

It’s worth noting that player Carter blew right past is equivalent to Josh Ball…..
That's what I was hoping but I looked him up and he's started 5 games the last 2 years and played in a bunch of others. So that doesn't make him some kind of world beater, but he's probably at least a serviceable player.

I think Mazi's performance showed up in the linebacker play. Overshown and Clark we able to run free and make plays. That speaks to the dl in front of them soaking up blockers.
yes like literally did what we drafted him to do.
