and? Signing him actually helps that. Not to mention, Jerry is 82 and so many of you think he is willing to waste seasons moving forward to "Start over." You guys are in lala land.
that's dead cap.

We paying it no matter what.

That's money Dak already spent.

and yet crowds could think you suck.

Playing an instrument, and playing games is not even comparable.
Who cares what the crowds think.

But of course its comparable. There are certain techniques in both cases that are standard....talents that show how good you are. Adeptness of playing chords and scales is very telling of talent...albeit not the only things.
Just the way you hold the guitar is a sign.

But of course our expert coaches can evaluate trey in many ways. Ways most casual fans might not see even if they did have access.

Because Dak has $52 million in dead cap over 2025-26.

Why would they shovel any more money into that mess?
Dak does not have dead cap. GM Jethro has dead cap. All contracts restructured and kicked down the road are GM Jethro's decisions.

GM Jethro restructed Dak's contract to pay players like Gallup. Fans some how think that is Dak's fault.

He’s been working for a year.

They know what they have.
No, they don't. Practice is different from games. There are plenty of great practice players who perform poorly in actual games. He needs live action more than many players because he just hasn't been in much of it.

His live action has been bad at best playing QB. He only looks good scrambling and hitting check downs for the most part.

I mean the all pro guys already have earned their spot. Not to mention just about every team lets the backup QB have most of the preseason snaps now. A lot extend that to every position.
Yeah sure. But at some point everyone loses their job one way or another. Even all pros. They get yraded or cut too.

Dallas can save a lot of cap by working a long term deal with Lance.

2025 cap is a mess.

Dak has 40 million in dead cap next season.
Would not that be great and interesting. If Trey gets an extension on his contract before Dak. :lmao::popcorn:

I wonder what other teams and organizations give the bulk of the work to their 3rd string QB?

I wonder how this not only makes Dak, but Rush feel?

Why would Dak have any interest in resigning with the Cowboys at this point?

I wonder how this gets our first string offense in rhythm and ready to go for week 1?

Only in Jerry World.
They don’t play Dak much in the preseason if at all. Chill.

You have to ask yourself why you need to announce a final judgment on Trey Lance. Why not give the kid a chance to prove himself? Being supportive of him being successful doesn't mean selling out Dak. Why can't both QBs be successful? Wouldn't that be a good problem to have?
LOL, are you seriously saying give the kid a chance??????????? I believe the 9ers exposed this kid for who he really is and that's a young man who should have stayed in college because at this point and time he does not have the skills or knowledge that plays well in the NFL. All this young man had to do with the 9ers was stay healthy, throw a few passes and don't mess thing up because he played on a team that had a dominating defense. BUT, because he couldn't stay healthy and he doesn't have the skills that plays well in the NFL the 9ers wasted little time and did the smart thing and fleeced JJ out of a valuable draft pick when no other team would even offer a lousy 7th rd pick for the kid. The Cowboys are far from being the QB whispers in the NFL, especially since they already have a QB that goes MIA in big games and they can't seem to fix him, so what makes everybody think they can make Lance into a real NFL QB when he's more like a starting practice squad QB at best!
