Signing Dak sealed our fate for the next 4 years anyways
Then go find another team to follow.

Exactly.Listen Mike is a good coach his teams are always competitive and he’s done great work with limited QB’s throughout his career, he’s won a superbowl and before coming to Dallas had a winning record in the playoffs. He’s respected in the league so this isn’t surprising. Our fanbase is overly emotional.
People act like we’re gonna get some young hotshot SB winning HC to come in here and make wholesale changes. The reality is there isn’t one, and JJ and SJ will not give up control.
There are not many coaches with Mikes resume and pedigree out there.

That is exactly why I think MM will walk........and it's not more $$$ per se from other teams. Regarding the terms and contract structure, I don't see Jerry matching. For example.....Good. Jerry Jones must outbid those teams for Mike McCarthy's continued service IF he wants McCarthy back at all cost
Been saying MM's resume could attract other teams. Our standards are much higher but a bunch of teams would love three straight 12-5 seasons and a final season where his players played hard despite Jerry hanging him out to dry.Listen Mike is a good coach his teams are always competitive and he’s done great work with limited QB’s throughout his career, he’s won a superbowl and before coming to Dallas had a winning record in the playoffs. ...but it is conceivable Jerry Jones would consent with Mike McCarthy's contractual terms IF he actually matched actions with his recent praises of McCarthy, correct? This is why I have maintained what Jones actually does during the next few weeks will confirm his words have always been genuine about McCarthy or as hollow as ever. That is exactly why I think MM will walk........and it's not more $$$ per se from other teams. *** Jerry may only wanna do 3 years vs 5 years from another team
*** He chooses his own staff vs Jerry pushing him to retain Zimm
*** More authority over player personnel
Exactly why Mike has hired an agent IMO........to darn sure all HIS terms are clearly covered in writing. Remember he just happy to get back into the league 5 years so he signed whatever Jerry put in front of him. Not this time Jack! In my opinion, McCarthy's change in agent is his way of saying his time in Dallas is done--regardless of Jones' prior comments of praise for him as a head coach.Exactly why Mike has hired an agent IMO........to darn sure all HIS terms are clearly covered in writing. He will not follow your command. None of your fellow members will follow your command. Why do you believe anyone will ever follow your command?Sick of this. ^^^

Very true. The front office's inability in providing quality depth left McCarthy making chicken soup out of the broth they provided him.He can work his way around a butt load of injuries though
I agree with something that was mentioned on the Cowboys pre game show yesterday: MM is a good head coach 6 days a week. But on gameday he is very questionable, to put it mildly.I’m apathetic at this point
He was hired to get us over the hump…he hasnt

Also ....I think Mike is benefiting from the Harbaugh, Payton, Quinn and Dan Campbell effect in that solid experienced coaches can still get the job done and you don't to have the so-called young 30ish-40ish coach. Look the top 6 - 8 teams and what you see.Coaching is like QB's. A few elite ones, some above average ones, average and then bad.
McCarthy is in the average to above average tweener level.
Similar to QB's coming out of college, you get the hype of a "hot" OC or DC ready for their first run at HC. Most fail than turn out to be good.
McCarthy had 3 12-5 seasons with a front office that was similar to his team in Green Bay. A front office that didn't want to spend money on free agents.
His two losing seasons he lost his starting QB. Whether or not that had the biggest impact or not it's a good excuse.
For teams that are perennial losers, there's an upside, capped but still an upside with MM. He may not be that exciting Ben Johnson hype OC, but Ben may be limiting himself to a few teams while MM may not.

Exactly......I'm not sure some fans appreciate how hard it is to win in this league. Some thinks you just plug and play a new coach and QB .....instand winners. LOL....those 12-5 seasons look pretty good now.Yup. There's some type of base you get with former head coaches. For the most part, they've shown they can coach, just depends on how fast their welcome wears out. Like players, there is a shelf life for most coaches till you need a change up.
