I just hope Jerry n Stephen move fast, no matter, what happens at HC. These dudes drag their feet on GM business.
That’s because they’re still in the mindset that the cowboys are like the yankees

they can move slow because people want to play for them…

And the people that do want to play for them (Earl Thomas and Derrick Henry) they treat like the hot chick who wants them but they drag their feet with her because it feeds their ego until she’s hooked up with another man

Would be nice, but they couldn't even release Garrett early on black Monday when most teams can their coaches.

I can't find it now, but I recall an article/tweet mentioning they wanted to keep Garrett in their back pocket in case the interview with MM went bad.
I sort of believe it.

I agree but not too concerned. Pretty sure once they ID their guy, they will have a chance to match any of his offers.

I mean there are a lot of factors here such as the quality of team and the pay but if I were Mike McCarthy, if even a semi-quality job opened up, I'd bolt for it. Jerry and his dope of a son have basically already said they will sit out FA again. They handcuffed him by signing Dak. The odds there will be a better team on the field in 2025 is slim. So if, say, the Bears called, that seems more attractive to me than what's in Dallas.

And maybe this is what needs to happen. Maybe Jerry goes to McCarthy with an extension and Mike tells him to pound sand. Maybe the embarrassment of McCarthy telling Jerry to shove it up his butt and him taking a new job with another franchise might make Jerry re-evaluate what he's doing here. It would be great if it was publicly reported McCarthy told Jerry no and took a job with the Bears or Jags.

Listen Mike is a good coach his teams are always competitive and he’s done great work with limited QB’s throughout his career, he’s won a superbowl and before coming to Dallas had a winning record in the playoffs. He’s respected in the league so this isn’t surprising. Our fanbase is overly emotional.
People act like we’re gonna get some young hotshot SB winning HC to come in here and make wholesale changes. The reality is there isn’t one, and JJ and SJ will not give up control.
There are not many coaches with Mikes resume and pedigree out there.
McCarthy came here after Jason Garrett.

JG had us playing hard but wasnt able to build a team that beats the better teams in the league.

McCarthy came here to get us over this hump. Beat the good teams.

He wasnt able to do this during his 5 years here. He had a better season record here but also got beaten by better teams on a constant basis. Where Garrets teams also lost MMs team got demolished by the good ones.

Seriously i dont care about MM pedigree. I like the guy. Also as a coach. But fact is he failed for what he was signed.

Sick of this. ^^^

Then go find another team to follow.

Seriously.
“Signing Dak sealed our fate for the next 4 years anyways”
The truth hurts why not sign a HC who is just not good enough to go along with a QB isn’t good enough it’s what Jerry and fans like you deserve

It's Jerry's business and his family's inheritance. They are never selling the Cowboys, so why don't you and you Jerry/Dak haters go follow another team? Why remain miserable and make everyone else as miserable as you?

I can definitely see some of the less appealing teams that won't land the likes of Ben Johnson or Vrabel settling on McCarthy as a "steadying" presence. Maybe the Jags or Saints. Say what you want about MCCarthy, but he's definitely not a bad coach or a loser. He can be a great stepping stone to get a franchise back to relevance

Jerry can run it any way he wants it’s his. No hate on anyone I unlike you am not a yes man I have my own mind and entitled to my opinion even more than you because I watched them longer and understand football better than you, unlike you I have no problem with your opinion and your liking substandard players and coaches, failure for 29 seasons isn’t a ringing endorsement of Jerry and 9 years of the Dak experience is laughable at this point but you keep lapping up Jerry’s drivel.

Mike McCarthy does not coach for the money. That is not what motivates NFL coaches.

McCarthy's goal is not a mystery. Everyone knows that there has never been an NFL HC to win a Super Bowl with two different teams.

I believe McCarthy will sign with the team that appears to offer the best opportunity to achieve that goal by providing him with the greatest degree of authority.

That isn't the Dallas Cowboys.

This might be the first time a HC fires the franchise.

He couldn’t get his team up for a home playoff game in what would have been their best shot at a NFC Championship game run in the last 15 years, kick rocks.
