Kellen : Zeke up the middle .

Big Mike : Let me think about it.
2024 divisional round playoff game
The cowboys once again travel to san
Fransisco and find themselves down
20-13 with 1:34 left in the fourth quarter.it’s third and inches on the 49ers fourty two yard line
McCarthy: alright, Kellen. What’s the play?
Moore: fake quadruple reverse and have zack throw a fifty yard pass to Dak
In the endzone. It’s brilliant!!!! They never expect it !
McCarthy:**** my life

This is a garbage stereotype that follows black QBs and needs to be stopped. Dak scored well on the wonderlic, which is how the league measures intelligence, has a master's degree, and has shown no signs that he can't pick up a new offense.

Decision making is Daks number one issue and that does not mean he's dumb.
Just to be crystal clear, I was not implying or thinking about race whatsoever.
From what you said, it sounds like Dak is very intelligent and should have no issues whatsoever picking up a new offensive system.
Thanks for the information !

For sure, I know. I'm just saying people keep questioning Daks intelligence, when there's never been a question about that.

Dude is smart enough for the spot, but gets skittish, makes poor decisions, and is indecisive. I'd say that speaks to lack of confidence more than anything

When McCarthy was hired he claimed at his introductory press conference that no matter where he was hired Moore would have been on his list of OC candidates if he was available.

You may not believe him but he said it.
That’s because he saw one cool play when he was studying in his barn!

Dak is a dumbo; that’s why he does well with simplistic route trees. If the running game isn’t there, this team will always be in trouble offensively.

I’m agnostic on Moore. On one hand, it’s always terrible when someone loses their job. On the other hand, it would be nice to know McCarthy has the power to pick his own assistants.

But what if Moore gets canned and we learn it’s not his system that’s limited? The limitation is actually a player for whom the system is compensating.
That is an excellent point, but at this point we have to know one way or the other.

Dak and Moore together is just not working. So, step 1 is to remove Moore from the picture and see if a new offensive system with new coaches teaching new plays and new reads will fix Dak.

If it does, great. We just found out that Moore was the problem after all.

If Dak is still throwing picks left and right every game, then we know for sure that we have a QB problem and we let Dak walk when his contract expires in two seasons.

One way or the other, we got to know if the problem is Dak or Moore.

Serious question:
Is Dak limited intellectually?
I have heard this before about Dak having to learn a new offense like it was beyond him.
QBs have to learn new offenses all the time..
They did the same thing with Romo with that "Romo Friendly" crap. I have no doubt both Romo and Dak could have learned a new offense. Romo always sounded intelligent and Dak finished his Masters before joining the Cowboys. I believe it's just some BS excuse Jerry was/is using to keep JG and KM around.

Thanks, he does seem to struggle with his decision making.

Number one priority is fixing Dak.

We got to find out if the problem is Moore or Dak so step 1 is to replace Moore and see if a new OC can fix it is a waste of time
Good luck trying to fix a broken jar.
7 years and they still not sure if Dak is the man? I know the Jones won't admit their mistake so they will try to blame someone else and before you know it is another 2...3 ...5..7 years wasted .... I am sick and tired of their management style.

If KM goes just think about Dak learning a new O when he still has trouble with the one he’s run for 7 years, should be fun
If he's going to choke and fail with what he knows anyway, why not try something different?

Was that scripted by Jerral Jones?
No, he mentioned that he had been working on assembling the staff for his next job and had the request for permission to talk to Moore ready to go. He had no idea, at that point, that Garrett was getting fired.

I think McCarthy's bread and butter was West Coast influences and he needs to get back to those roots. Moore's offensive system has too many Garrett influences. We need to erase any connection with that.
