This pure BS lol.
you cant get the timing of routes down in ota's with the wr's that are there.
A real game is totally different.
We will all get to see trey in PS, I will from a opinion then.
MM is evidently under orders to pump up treys stock per jerry.

Fish says he looks good, but thats all you can say about ota stuff.
Fish also says no way is trey competing for anything but the # 2 qb position.

Mike called out Micah for not being there one day, then the next he said he wasnt taking attendance, so he got
in trouble with jerry for trying to instill a little discipline on Micah.
That is what limits the cowboys, jerry meddling, and no discipline etc.
Also he is not close to being a master of the system.
dd it would take year or 2 of playing in real games every week to do that.
Jerry must have had mike say it ,because why would mike be exaggerating on this?? he has nothing to gain by doing it.

The lack of commitment the Cowboys have shown Dak Prescott will result in his looking elsewhere to continue his playing career. He’s been around long enough to understand the business side of being an NFL player. Only the Cowboys can be stupid enough to let a player of his value leave the organization sans any compensation other than a 3rd round comp pick. This kind of nonsense is how a team can’t reach a conference championship for decades. The fantasy of a quarterback, Lance, that has next to no game experience in the NFL all of a sudden being capable of quarterbacking a team to playoff wins is nonsense. That most Cowboys fans buy into that fantasy is pathetic.
Stupid would be committing 4 more years to a QB of Dak's caliber. The fantasy that he will eventually get us there can be viewed as pretty pathetic. The real mistake that was made was giving Dak the no trade clause in his last contract, they painted themselves in a corner. Now the reality is do they repeat that mistake again and resign him, hamstringing the salary cap for the for seeable future, or cut the losses and walkaway? So far they seem to be willing to take the loss, which I for one hope they stick with. I'm pulling for Lance to make it an easier choice.

the brilliance of Jerry Jones. he made a mistake in the first contract negotiations over a couple of million per year average. then forced into tagging him and actually paying more as a tagged player than the contract difference they didn't agree to in the first place. then as you said cornered in the negotiations leaving themselves no option.

now, they want to walk away, but didn't leave themselves much options. People are fawning over Lance...but if they really thought he was the answer, they would have picked up his 5th year option for 25M which would put him at 17th average QB salary in the league. average salary, for average QB. but they didn't pick up his options, which is stupid in two ways. If they think he is the answer, then pick up the cheap option. else if they don't think he is the answer, why did they trade a 4th round pick for him (and could have picked a RB in the draft).

lets move on from Dak, but we must have a plan for QB, since this is a team that has had 2 12-5 seasons back to back. where is the plan? what's the answer? people say lets go into a rebuild....do teams with back to back 12-5 seasons go into a rebuild intentionally.

this screams volumes of the FO incompetence and the GM incompetence.

It is ironic that a good number of fans are critical on certain players, but at the same time complain that the team is not cohesive. If Lance works out, all fans should be content, but of course, complaints will follow.

Let’s see what he can do in game situations before the anointing oil begins.

Picking up Lance’s 5th year right now doesn't make any sense, resigning him won't be an issue if they decide he is Dak's replacement. Probably under the 25 mil cap hit it would be signing him on his option year.

How is it pure BS? He said he's "starting" to get the timing down. Also, real game is not "totally different", otherwise practice would be pointless. The reps in practice transfer to game day, either successfully or not. Of course, the game experience and situations are going to be different, and that successful transference is not guaranteed. Also, one can be a master of the system mentally before being so physically. You practically have to be.

Week 1 will tell us what Jerry is thinking. If Jerry tells big Mike to start Chuma Edoga at LT, then you know they want to get Lance a chance to see the field after Dak gets creamed.

If henis less than 25M, the let's replace one average QB with another?

Where is the logic in that?

Do you happen to work for Stephen Jones?

Lance and Dak are both FA's after the season.

IF you believe Lance was truly brought in to be the successor then it has to be no later than 2025.

There is no scenario where Lance and Dak are both on this roster next season. Lance would be a fool to stick around if not named started for 2025.

So, I don't see how, if you truly believe Lance was brought in to be the successor as you said, that you can't agree with me that Lance is getting his chance no later than 2025 Week 1.

Your "noted" comment from my prediction makes it seem to me that you don't agree with my assumption, but I don't really see how you can't if you believe Lance is the successor.
If Lance is in the longer term plan (meaning he is on the team next year) then the team should be trying to extend him on a team friendly extension this year, before he actually starts. Once he starts the cost to extend him obviously climbs.

In that scenario one would be paid like an average QB, whereas the other would be grossly overpaid for the same results.
