Why is it appealing? Anymore appealing than any of the other current openings?

think about the other openings...Jets - crap, Jax - probaby the best potential but its a hole, Chicago - wont be winning any time soon.

At least Dallas has a lot of cap money, a starting qb (hopefully), some very big pieces on both sides of the ball and the appeal of "dallas"....

fair opinion but at least the brand still gets the benefits of the brand...aka prime time games, visiblity, media coverage, etc. There is something to be said about that in terms of a coach building their brand.

If Mike would’ve accepted that weak contract from Jerry and Co he would’ve did it imo. He just didn’t expect MM to actually garner serious interest from other teams and force their hand

I disagree. There whole thing is they offer you something you will refuse. Always. Just to say they tried in case they leave and do well. This is a tactic they’ve been doing for some time now. Jerry and Stephen fired Mike after the Packers game. They will never admit but they did. All the proof you need is the offseason they had and all the coach’s on one year deals.

I think we have to see what teams need head coaches because all of them have some from of dysfunction. That’s typically who need coaches.

Honestly, no coach who wants to win should come here. Dak is locked in...automatic mediocrity. Then you got Jerry meddling. So, basically...we are waiting for Jerry to take a dirt nap. So the next coach - IMO - should be a reach coach...because a gambler's chance is all we have.

Hearing Kellen Moore - someone familiar - is on the short list.

McCarthy wasn’t privy to the trade before it happened. Lol. So it’s not going to be interesting. It’s going to be another stupid trade by this FO that amounted to nothing except wasting a 4th rounder that could have been a RB.

If you are so smart tells what will happen with Lance? Also, the Cowboys could end up with a dominate runner in this draft instead of your 4th rounder.

But next coach most likely get the typical 5 yr term.

This team has had diffrernt coaches, OB’s defense cordidnarors and still has flopped in the playoffs.

One thing has been consistent, the owner, GM and VP has remained the same.

He has turned the organization into such a you know what show.

Those of you who think we actually have a great roster and who thought McCarthy was the problem with our garbage offense, well, I sincerely hope I’m wrong and that a new coach comes in who will turn this whole mess around, but I think it’s much more likely that you will be wondering how the coaching staff had the success they did with a very poor roster surrounding 3-4 stars.

I admire Mike for refusing to take less than a 5 year commitment after what Jerry put him through this year. I hope he and his staff land somewhere with more security.

Its probably more than he's worth but it's not crazy compared to other top contracts. I think he'll get it.
