Mark my word, the next coach will either be a retread with no big success who has no leverage and just wants another chance or a first time, unproven head coach who just wants to get his foot in the door and will take what he’s given.

Jerry is not going to acquiesce to anyone.

Vrabel is gone. We cannot interview any current coach until after the season now. This is not going to be easy in any way.
I wonder if 73 year old Nick Saban is tired of being out of the limelight…..lol.

And yet the Lions are the NFC favorite with Jared Goff, and Vikings finished one game behind them with Sam Darnold.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Dak, he has been objectively better than both for their entire careers until this season. Clearly coaching can maximize QB ability. So it absolutely does matter.
So.........the next coach is going to maximize Daks' ability after 10 years or so!? Just sit back and think about that ridiculous comment.

Yeah seems likely
I agree with others saying the highest odds are:
Kliff
zimmer
Moore
Jason Witten

Dak is gonna be pissed..I love it
I’m glad your little goals for the Cowboys are being realized. If Jerry doesn’t make a good hire and his free agency stance leads to another bad year, bank on Parsons not being happy and not resigning either.

Until Jerry provides a starting RB with playmaking potential and a 1b receiver to consistently make plays when the defense takes Lamb away, no coach or QB are going to move the needle on this offense.

If you are so smart tells what will happen with Lance? Also, the Cowboys could end up with a dominate runner in this draft instead of your 4th rounder.
Lance goes to another team or stays here as a backup.

Not hard to figure out. He isnt a starting QB.

Could end up with? They could have last year. Instead we got Zeke.

Its probably more than he's worth but it's not crazy compared to other top contracts. I think he'll get it.
I’m not saying Ben Johnson won’t be an excellent head coach, but name me an OC who wouldn’t be a star with those RBs, receivers, TEs, and that OL with a decent QB.

fair opinion but at least the brand still gets the benefits of the brand...aka prime time games, visiblity, media coverage, etc. There is something to be said about that in terms of a coach building their brand.
I think a coach would be more concerned with the salary in their contract and the actual control they have over ‘their team’.

Both are sorely lacking in Dallas.
