I had joked about Wes Phillips, but I wouldn't be surprised if Norv's kid was in Jerry's brain.

Seriously, though, my money is still on Kellen.
I’m trying to think of a NFL coach that was shown the door and 24 months later brought back as the head coach.

As I said in many a thread, JJ wasn't keeping McCarthy. You can never listen to what JJ says, you listen to what he DOESN'T say. He was never bringing McCarthy, he decided that weeks ago. He botched too many situations. Even JJ knows Mike ain't the answer, that's easy to see.

This is interesting.

Different types of candidates. Does he mean bad ones?
I'm thinking old ones that most have forgotten about but that old Wylie Coyote Jerry has hidden up his sleeve. Always ahead of the game.

thats a fair statement but this is still the dallas cowboys and its still one of the most appealing jobs IF you can figure out how to work with JJ and the circus.
Why is it appealing? Anymore appealing than any of the other current openings?

Idk I’m taking it we might be willing to dip into college and give Sark a look from Texas? Or freeman from ND?

I mean normal candidates in the way he’s phrasing it might just mean the ben Johnson’s or other NFL assistant's

It means there is no way Jerry talks to any candidate currently being considered by another team for fear the guy chooses another team. Imagine Jerry explaining why the guy he interviewed for head coach preferred Jacksonville. Same issue in reverse would be hiring a coach another team said “no” to.

Many suspected that he has been fired. Mike even knew it probably.

If you are on the last year of your deal and a bunch of coaches on one year deals…you are essentially fired.

Then you're more optimistic than I am.

I'd be shocked if Jerry considers college coaches.

If Mike would’ve accepted that weak contract from Jerry and Co he would’ve did it imo. He just didn’t expect MM to actually garner serious interest from other teams and force their hand
