Isn't the 3rd year supposed to be the year when players make the biggest jump?

Or are we resetting Trance back to year 1? Since he is on a new team and last year is apparently a do over.
3rd of starting. If you don’t get on the field, mostly due to his injuries. Then that does not apply.
However that does not fit your agenda and narrative.

How is it not good. Romo was always adjusting his throwing motion as well. Dak also.
Maybe he has never had the right coaching to notice he could improve upon it.
It was probably Romo’s idea to make a few tweaks. The problem with Lance his throwing motion at least on some of his throws I’ve seen is a little quirky. That was one of the issues with Tebow’s motion. He kept reverting back to it. His motion affected his accuracy. Accuracy is one of the big issues with Lance. His career completion percentage is under 55%. Romo never had accuracy problems.

It’s going to come down to how big the adjustments are to his motion. I noticed on some of his throws he had a quirky sidearm delivery.
Some of his throws. QB's have multiple different slot angles.

His different angles haven’t been working which is why he’s in Dallas. He’s completing under 55% of his passes. That’s awful for an NFL QB these days. At least 62% is the norm for most QBs.

So if 3rd year of starting makes you better, what does 3rd year of sitting do?

I don't like players that try to fleece NFL owners for a 5th year option with social media QB workout videos:laugh::laugh:
How did he try to fleece Jerry. That was the 5th year option. Jerry declined to pick it up.
It has nothing to do with Trey trying to fleece him. As he had no leverage to do so.

The workout video had nothing to do with it.

Why do so many feel threatened with Lance being on the team? There is a 0% chance that he beats Dak out of a job no matter how the preseason goes. There is nothing wrong with trying to salvage his career and make improvements here and there. At worst, he sucks and his career is over. At best, he improves and can be traded for something or a possible future starter in Dallas if talks with Dak fail.

Lance is still very inexperienced and worth giving a shot to play most of the preseason to see if he can progress. The hand-wringing over this opportunity is ridiculous and petty.

Many QBs start with a low completion pct. Then improve. Trey has not had enough attempts to say he is not good.

I think Mahomes style is a bit quirky as well.

Phenoms usually have leverage.

And by choice on his own.
By then he was a veteran player, he knew what his limitations were and wanted to improve them.

Lance is young, he probably never had the coaching that he has now to help him make adjustments.

Key word: Romo was always adjusting his throwing motion.

McCarthy "we are adjusting Trance's throwing motion."

Not exactly the same thing.

Exactly! Nothing wrong with giving Lance, a top five pick, another shot; whether you are pro-Dak or anti-Dak.

Getting upset over this kid being on the team is like getting upset the Cowboys drafted Caelon Carson and taking it as a threat to Diggs or Bland.

I think 55% is pretty good for an athlete.

Romo tweaked things in his throwing motion, and always seemed to get better. So, the adjustment must be looking for McCarthy to mention it, but we'll see.
