And the desperation and sense of alarm kicks in. To the mattresses!

But beyond the snark, did Fat Mac admit his way is a disaster? That his staff were not as totally involved as required at tha palace called The Star.
Dear Mac Chap, you are no Bear Bryant in Junction. You dunna know sacrifice.
Shuddup Fat Mac and go to your fancy office at a fancy training facility and avoid eye contact with Jerald who is greatly aggrieved.

I never understood this with older head coaches, you're at the tail end of your career, and kinda grim but you're also at the tail end of life. I know money is not an issue, why wouldn't you spend that time with family?
Working 20 hours a day will only put you in a early grave. This can have the opposite effect and hurt performance. Niners are just a much better team than Dallas.

General McCarthy told the Phillipines when Americans first pulled out, 'I shall return.' Just like then, McCarthy is committed now and will return to this years presence again.

SF smartie fartie play designs can be figured out, rehearsed, and defeated as well.

Bill Parcells lived by you...you don't appreciated dedication to team?

I know...I know...new math and mass media instead...see a recruiter and send someone else to fight. Don't think for a minute mercenaries turn the tide.

He is part of the problem, he did not make adjustments to the offense, ran his east west game in the ground and never let his big OL fire off the ball and develop his running game, then Dak is the rest, he can't read defenses and is not accurate, he over threw wr's and was late on his delivery and his D reads that let 49s defensive close the play, Dak with MM calling plays is a disaster for Dallas..
I hear you alright: run away, run away...quickly!

....MM knows some bits are loose on the ship. Gotta find, and fix.

He didn't hit icebergs more hidden than seen. He is solving rehearsable and film identifying facts. His players are easily talented enough and smart enough football wise, to make slight changes in mission and continue on.

Sorry they aren't on the comedian circuit for your pleasures.

Dak better be with him!
Why, he doesn't do drugs or beat his wife? Really think his IQ has shrunk from his talent levels, that now have even been added to beyond on site hillbilly ballad levels?

Mike, (and to all the other coaches too): please go home to your families and spend time with them. You only live once and in the end it's just a game. You sucked Sunday, your team sucked Sunday and probably most of the staff sucked Sunday. Working overtime for a week won't change things. We wouldn't have beaten SF even if we played them 10 times in a row. But there's a good chance this team will beat the Chargers whether you put in extra time or not.

So sleep well and better use the bye week to figure out what to do with your guy under center.

Mccarthys not the problem.
Man, for me, I can't take anyone seriously who doesn't see that he's been a problem this season, twice, already. He had a heavy hand in both losses. That's why he's staying late, working around the clock. He understands it's him.

The only problem with your argument other than there's no premise to draw your conclusion from is that even McCarthy has said he was part of the problem. That was the first thing out of his mouth.

He knew it last year, but was a little less forthcoming about it.

Tail end of life? It's not like he's pushing 100.. He's 59. Still relatively young, in my book, especially in today's age. 59 is like the new 49.

I get that, just figured at his age he'd want family time
This might help you understand some. It's an old article, but it's relevant to how Shannahan was able to make us look so soft out there. He's a details freak, and really knows how to get his message through to players. If you watch that whole game, not as a fan or rival of either team, but as a spectator, that's what you should see, I think. That's at least what I see.

McCarthy is in over his head. I think he could be a good HC or a good OC, but I think he'll be average doing both simultaneously.

Just my opinion, but it's been that way since they fired Moore and I haven't seen any evidence that would indicate to the contrary.

He's probably just hanging out at the office because he's too ashamed to go home.

Watching Gomer Pyle reruns and eating pizza pockets and Oreos in his office probably seems better than having ur family feel sorry for you.

He's old, and a great example of us living in the past. Probably isn't comfortable working remotely because he can't figure out how to set his computer up properly. Probably still using notebooks and Trapper Keepers to organize everything.

The young energetic bucks that are coaches in this league aren't sleeping in their office. It's just an old guy thing.
You sound bitter about the loss, yes? Or am I misreading you somehow?
