"But then knowing that you have (Ezekiel Elliott). Zeke is still a premier back in the league. When you talk about short-yardage running, goal-line running, some of the things where we had problems, he gives you some of those answers. Plus his intelligence, helping the offense and doing those sorts of things. That’s a vet player that you get there."
of course he’s older.Zeke is definitely a team guy; a great locker room guy. But he’s past his prime. As it was said earlier in the thread, he’ll get ya that short yardage TD or that one or two yards needed for a first. But he’s no longer a second level threat
It’s WillM.Lol dude thinks Zeke is still a premier back. What a maroon!
He was an excellent pass blocker, there were some times he didn't look good in pass pro as he used to. His last year here it wasn't as great! We did have a monster truck offensive line for the first few years he was here.
I mean they literally pancaked a lot of defenses.
Excellent pass blocker though.
More like 4.7of course he’s older.
that 4.47 speed is gone.
but Zeke does at least two things that Dallas needs.
scores TDs and makes 1st downs.
the target is 10 TDS and 55 first downs.
He’s going to do what Barkley did Friday in Brazil.I expect Zeke to have 1300 yards and 13 tds now.
Zeke got a raw deal? High pick, well paid, extended 2 years early and they immediately regretted it. The only issue was the 6 game suspension but in the grand scheme of things was no big deal.I love Zeke as a player.
If you need a yard, he'll get you a yard.
If you need 5 yards, he'll get you a yard...lol
But, I still like him. Dude got a raw deal early on.
3rd all time rusher in team history.Zeke got a raw deal? High pick, well paid, extended 2 years early and they immediately regretted it. The only issue was the 6 game suspension but in the grand scheme of things was no big deal.
I agree. I'm just not sure why we would have EVER dumped a "premier" RB.When Zeke left the Cowboys he was no longer premier. He was "premier" when we drafted him, but if he's become "premier" again, well that remains to be seen.
Hmmm… bit of a difference between the 15m base Zeke was under contract and the 3m he’s making currently eh?If Zeke was the answer on 3rd down and short yardage, we would never have let him go. Granted, the O line has shared responsibility in those failures. I love Zeke. The Zeke I saw in NE lost at least 2 steps
.........by Jerry's money. It's a damn good livingMcClay is compromised
Grasshopper is almost ready for the honor bestowed upon him as MODERATOR.Ok but I don't want to get blocked on this forum, they need me here!!! I'm almost done my training too!! lol
I think every player, including Zeke, needs to be signed for all time money at their positions. I mean, those are veteran players out there! Not sure why we can’t just all agree that we are elite at every single position
