McCray is a decent STs guy, not worth extra money than a rookie or a street free agent. However, Dallas hasn't had much luck with rookies and free agents lately, so whatever gets people here that can ball.....if that's what you call what McCray does.

Yep! Those same people are Cowboy fans on a Cowboys board liking the moves and applaud when the Cowboys frtofc makes a good move. Who would've thunk it!!! Smh!!

Keep 'shaking your head' and keep blindly following along.

Just don't expect everyone else to.

If you think this qualifies as a 'good move', then thank goodness for low standards.

Not all of us have them however.

I don't expect anything from anyone on this board. Cry, whine, moan, and complain about every move if you wish, that's your choice. As for standards, you have yours and I have mine. Because I like the move doesn't make them any lower then yours, stop acting like you're better then others. Smh!!!!

When did they make the shift? Just last season the both guard positions were filled with free agents. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the line should be built with free agents, but there has been nothing that shows Jerry is against it. I think free agents are the way he wants to go to save the draft picks for other positions. Last year there were three free agents signed that started. Three jag free agents.

Your right, considering they signed Bernadeau, and Livings last year. I was thinking more along the lines of when they released Gurode, Davis, and Columbo. And that their attempting to develop younger players like Costa, Parnell, Leary, etc...

And Cook makes three. I wish they could develop linemen better, but they have a poor track record. It makes me doubt the scouting department for not being able to find the talent that turns into starting quality players.

Bill Bates was a "great" special teams player.

Jim Schwantz, Kenny Gant, Elvis Patterson, Joe Fishback and Keith Davis were "great" special teams players.

Name one play, a quality tackle, blocked punt, something that makes Danny McCray great?

It is amazing that mediocrity has numbed this fanbase to how poorly this franchise views talent. You could grab another Danny McCray at any time.

Take a look around the NFL. See the real contending teams in this league scrambling to give their special teams demons a million dollars?
Bingo.

You don't pay people for what they can be, or what they have been. you pay them for what they are right now. Jerry has learn nothing from the Miles Austin/Marion Barber contracts.that,s 1.3. million dollars that could have been used to help on another player.

You don't want him starting for you but you do like him being on STs. I doubt many of us look at STs much but he's been stellar from the reports of the coaches.

Personally, after three years if he can't challenge for a starter's spot or at least provide adequate backup then I'm ready to move on. We don't need too many marginal backups even if they play STs well.

OTOH, if STs is going to drag the team down without one or two McCray's on the team then you are forced to keep him.

This is the teams call esp the STs coach whose job is on the line.

All these decisions aren't black and white.

Sometimes one is forced to choose the lesser of two weevils.

I'm already hearing it from 'The Defenders' as the excuse for why this team won't pursue free agent OT Eric Winston.

The fanboys do such a great PR excuse-making job for the team that they don't need Rich Dalrymple.

We won't pursue Winston because he isn't very good.

That's why we won't pursue Winston.

Hahahahaha!!! You're entertaining and very funny, you seem to know more then the professionals in the frtofc. I think they know who they want to sign and what they want to pay for them. They know their money better then any of us on this board and yes, that includes you. Smh!!!
