I wonder if the people that think we used up Murray last year think we used up an older more fragile player in McFadden?

This has been the third biggest workload in his whole career.

Of course not. McFadden looks like he is going to be in Dallas next so he's probably got another 7 or 8 years left.

Let's keep it real here. I like McFadden. He has surprisingly been serviceable. That said, (this is where your mind will drift again.. I understand) he has not meant half of what Demarco meant to this offense in terms of locker room presence, consistency, and the innate ability to place the team on his back seemingly at just the right moments. But it's nice to know DMC is holding up. Hooray. 5-11 here we come.

Hooray 5-11 with Romo missing 13 games. Stop it bleu. Romo missing is the reason for our record not Murray. Get over your man crush bro

:muttley::muttley::muttley: It's so sad that we are all beginning to see the traits & patterns. They're frightening.

Sadly, you have fallen into the trap. It's the one that allows you to find every reason to deny accountability for what it truly is. We are 5-11 because our basic coaching staff is incapable of inspiring our 53 to eclipse their own expectations. They're content and it shows in the record. The inability to win without Romo tells me all I need to know about this coaching staff & I refuse to give them yet another pass.

897 in 2011, 663 in 2012, 1121 in 2013. In what universe does that add up to averaging almost 1200 yards?

The Universe where Receiving yards count. But maybe they changed the rules and I didn't hear about it.

I just feel you're disrespecting McFadden while hyping up Murray. The entire off-season you wrote McFadden off as an afterthought and he's come in here and outdid all of your guys expecatation and didn't get to play even 1 whole game with Romo.

Murray is gone. He was only going to be good for 3 more years and now one of them has been wasted.

But you guys always try to downplay what he accomplished so you can swallow the magic beans the FO sold you. Murray's cap hit would've been 4m this year. That is 1.1m more than McFadden and CMike(plus a 7th round pick).

And if you take McFadden's awesome year and DOUBLE it, it is still short of what Murray provided. McFadden is the definition of a JAG(just a guy) and would be a progress stopper if we had the foresight to draft a RB. Lettuce pray we don't make the same mistake again.

900 yards when he wasn't the starter for 4 games, and still has 2 left to play. And had .5 of a game with Romo. Sorry but you all underestimated McFadden besides a few of us that caught Hell in the off-season.

And he ran out of gas midseason for a few games. He will make a nice change of pace back.

A better stat would have been:
McFadden 4.3 yards per carry
Murray 3.4 yards per carry

Everyone has created a legend based off of one terrific year. He was aided by a very good offensive line and a very good QB.

Every one discounts the fact that Murray was a very strong back before we assembled the one year best O line in football.

How different would the totals be of McFadden got Randles carries to begin the season

No to mention all the carries inside the 10 yard line that instead went to passes that turned into interceptions in the endzone.. I like Linehan, but Jason MUST rein him at times during games crucial situations. Jimmy used to do it with Norv all the time. Linehan gets a little too " outside the box " for his own good at times.

It wouldnt have mattered who carried the ball this year we would have still ended up in the same spot with all the other injuries. The running game wasnt as big of an issue as analysts thought as well likely finish in the top 10 in that catergory this season. So in evaluating the Murray decision the Cowboys made the right call, as I doubt he would have found close to the success he had in 2014 without a passing game threat.

Chip Kelly is a genius. He destroyed the Dallas Cowboys with one simple move.

Now imagine DeMarco Murray playing next season with a year's experience with their offensive line, system, and quarterback.

Evaluate his signing over the length of the contract and not just the first season.

I admire your intelligence.

About Chip, it is ultimately a strange move that will only save his job if the Eagles make the playoffs.
