Well, alright.

Everyone get out your 2012 draft guides and check out Brandon Weeden. I think the Cowboys got something there.

I realize you're trying to be funny but Weeden has sucked every single year he has been in the nfl. So talking about a draft guide for an him even in 2012 is foolish. Not to mention 2012 is the year Adrian Peterson broke all those rushing records but people have no problem selling the farm to get him for his production 3 from 3 years ago, but won't give McFadden any faith when he was good 3 years ago and is even younger than Peterson? Lol gotcha.

Did you just compare Darren McFadden to Adrian Peterson?

Darren McFadden has been a subpar NFL running back for five of his seven NFL seasons, with his last good season coming in 2011. There's more evidence of McFadden being an also ran than there is of him being a good player. Comparing him in any way to Adrian Peterson is completely misguided.

All the comparisons aside.....
IF he can find that burst for 3 or 4 times a game (gaining 10-15 yards a clip) we just might be okay with the trio of McFadden/Joseph/Williams

McFadden will be fine. Whoever the back is will do fine. Top 10 rushing attack solely bc of oline play. I want to see what McFadden can do with actual running lanes. DM29 never did anything to make me say "wow, theres not many backs that could do what Murray just did." He just grinded out yards, not much flash. He just took what was there and always fell forward. This can be replaced. It's his blocking/catching/leadership that will be missed most.

get any of our running backs daylight and they will be a problem. But the tough yards... who's
gonna get that?

no answer yet.... we will find out.

Doesn't surprise me that you try to avoid the substance and make an over the top claim to get your "likes" Let me simplify this in a way that even you can understand Risen. Adrian Peterson broke 2000 yards 3 years ago. Since then he had a 1200 yards season, then he played last year and got shut down by the vikings. He is now 30 years old and we don't know what we are gonna get from him. 3 years ago Darren McFadden was on the top 100 players list and he was a beast. If you're willing to blow a first rounder on the possibility that Peterson will be back to what he was in 2012 that's fine. I'd rather go with McFadden not lose a draft pick and take the chance that he is even better than he was in 2012. Got all that?

Not comparing those two. Point is that people are salivating over the Peterson from 3 years ago. We don't know what we would get plus we're giving up a draft pick. I believe McFadden will flourish behind this line and away from the black hole of Oakland

McFadden has never been a "beast" in the NFL.

Three years ago? You realize he only missed last year right (suspension) right?

In 2011 he was on pace for 1626 yards, which would have lead the league.

The problem? We're in 2015. He never came back from his injury in any kind of form like 2011. They say he is in the best shape of his life, but even if that were true, I wouldn't trust him to stay healthy.

Wow McFadden averaged around 3 yards a carry for the last 3 years. There isn't a lot of backs that can do that.

What substance was there in your post? That McFadden had a good 2011 season as did Peterson, so the fans should welcome either?

Who said I was willing to blow a first rounder on Peterson?

I think fans covet Peterson over McFadden because one has spent his career as one of, if not thee, best backs in football and the other has been a career flop. To compare the two like they're even remotely similar is fan nonsense. It's what you say when your team has signed the flop and you have to make do with him.

I think I'll remain consistent and view McFadden as I would if he was playing anywhere else in the league. Had I suggested in January to replace Murray with McFadden not a single person here would have supported it. With good reason.
