Brain damage? Really? Floyd couldn't squash a grape.

Just a weak stoppage too that was all cardio related as well.

Connor wasn't going to win though in the later rounds. He gassed and it was over.

Floyd was punching a statue at that point. Hitting a tired man and acting like it was skill?yeah right.

Wasn't a weak stoppage. Connor had nothing for him at full strength.... let alone gassed and fatigued.
Nothing to be gained by letting it continue.

Joshua would go in scared vs Tyson.
Joshua was one klitschko punch away from losing to klitschko after putting klitscko down.

Yeah what ifs.... That was such a good fight. I just don't think Tyson lasts vs. a true skilled heavyweight. Ali? Foreman? Frasier? Holmes?
He's street fight, a nasty one at that but, not a true boxer.

ESPN ha
Although a short window, Tyson was the fiercest boxer ever. Maybe not the best, but the most fierce IMO. Absolutely dominate in those few years.
Espn had a show a couple months ago showing all his fights, some of those guys looked genuinely scared once they got in the ring. Buster Douglas idk, maybe his dog just died or something, was clearly not interested

Lol why do you always so they have to go to the ground. You do know it's still considered a fight if they stand on their feet?

Of course. But the majority of real fights (I'm assuming he means outside of sports, out in the real world in a street fight or whatever) don't stay two guys standing on their feet throwing punches.

Do some? Yeah, of course. But most of them wind up being on the ground with people wrestling for position and control. Someone who can't do that, or isn't good at that (As I'm guessing most people would assume Mayweather is not good at that) would get destroyed on the ground.

You can't box from your back. You can fight from you back, and defend yourself, but all the skills that Mayweather possesses in boxing are null and void on the ground.

Which, in the cage, is exactly where a fight with McGregor, or anyone, for that matter would go against Mayweather. They'd just take him down, and beat on him on the ground.

Which is why I've said that Mayweather is simply not stupid enough to bother to get into the cage and even try it.

Nobody could have beaten Tyson between 1987-1990. Nobody. In any fight. He could kill a man with his hands.

Maybe. But I disagree.

Tyson was awesome. But I don't believe for one second that no one, of any fighting style, could have beaten him. There are plenty of people who would have taken him to the ground and I just don't see Tyson being all that great a fighter off his back.

But maybe he was.

meh, if Holyfield was 100% I got him wrecking Tyson.

Hmmmm....I don't know. I don't think at that time he would have. Mainly because at that point Tyson believed, truly believed, that he was absolutely unbeatable and he'd have been coming after Holyfield relentlessly.

Conor rehydrated to 170+. When Floyd fought canelo at jr middle (154), alverez was at 175 the night of the fight. I myself have lost 18 lbs of water weight in about 14 hours once...it's not at all unheard of for the naturally bigger guys to put on 10-15 easily during rehydration.
Copy! I've always been on the lean ,flint rock edged build where you could literally strike a kitchen match off of, so there's never been much to put on or take away from to begin with,, sounds kinda dangerous to me what you did dropping 18 lbs in 14 hours, cuz you'd have to employed water pills/ high colonics and have that much water removed from a persons system in that short amount of time, **** can start shutting down on you,,,or so I've heard

Seriously...... he weighs 150 lbs with rocks in his pockets

It is the 'sport' of Boxing that he is the best at

MMA was supposed to have solved who the best 'fighter' is but Brazilian ju jihitzu/guard dominated the sport and turned it into some hybrid thing it is today
And you have those Gracie's to thank for thato_O

I think if Cus had still been alive, Tyson could have gone 50-0 including the two Holyfield fights.

I disagree, Tyson ultimately would have lost as soon as he ran across someone who wasn't afraid of him and could take one of his punches. He just didn't have the stamina to do the distance.

Tyson was always a time-bomb waiting to explode........even Cus couldn't save him

Nice pull out of your rear

if you think Middleweights are known as One Punch fighters more than heavyweights you don't know half of what you think

Buster Douglas had a chance because he had real power and caught Tyson
McGregor never had that puncher's chance

Historically Tommy Hearns had a giant punch but the rest of them were all around boxers with power and speed ....they would throw 80 punches a round..... that is why they were always the best fights.......boxing and slugging...... but they still couldn't bang with the big boys like Tyson

If you would calm down and read before the diarrhea starts spewing from your mouth you might understand what I wrote
The beautiful thing with Tyson was seeing some of the most complete energy transfer in an upper cut,I mean, that dude would pull it from the south somewhere around Dallas and drive it straight up ,using total body mechanics, he'd be driving it thru standing on his toes

When he doubled up and hit you with a hook to the body to set up the uppercut

that was the best .....pure power
