Well?
What has he ever done that had anyone thinking he was on a level with Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes, Wilson.
All of those guys have played in how many Superbowls, Dak has won how many playoff games?
This, well ya see it's the market is weak and lame, how about does he deserve elite $$$$$ when nothing about him is really elite.
Not a hater, love my Cowboys and that is why this bugs me, two guys getting too much of our $$$$ in Dak and Zeke and we all know it. We need an offensive line not a running back which are a dime a dozen.
Watching Brady do his thing tonight THAT is an elite QB,
I'll agree on Elliott. Jerry got absolutely hosed on the structure when he continued to double down on his Garrett infatuation.
As far as Prescott, it's about supply vs demand. His rookie deal was wasted entirely on Garrett.
It wasn't Daks fault that the inept staff couldn't do a thing about what the Rams did to us up the gut in the last playoff game as one example.
He was about to become a free agent, and they didn't give up that deal all that willingly as we all should recall quite well.
If the Joneses clung to the idea that "he hasn't won any Super Bowls....or he isnt elite" during negotiations.....he would have taken his act elsewhere and someone else would have gladly paid him.
You mention Brady tonight....take a look at the other QB selected 8th overall. THATS a problem.
There's a list of guys starting in the NFL that are pure garbage that not only can't carry a team, but can't even play well on a consistent basis....and many of THEM don't cost much less than Prescott does.
His career is not complete and its not close, and the first few years of it were thrown away by a completely inept coaching staff. I'm surprised he has developed as well as he has considering.
He isnt Aaron Rodgers and never will be, but even HE needs reasonable blocking and his WR to catch balls that hit them in the hands and chest.
