what if its not AP? Then who? A rookie? picking up the blitz from time to time?

they better be right about that pick.

Well, what are your options? If Philly is going to pay an absurd amount do you break the bank trying to get him back? I just don't see Dallas coming in at the 11th hour and spending a ridiculous amount on Murray. We have so many needs on D. Murray was drafted not the 1st or 2nd, but 3rd round of the draft. He has been healthy only one year. I suspect the Cowboys can find a suitable replacement in this year's draft.

Peterson isn't even re-instated, let alone a FA. There are a lot of bridges to cross before he could get to Dallas. And the money won't be insignificant.

I am definitely interested but it's still a longshot

remember that eerie call Peterson made to Jerry that one time? things can be in the works behind the scenes. It's been in the works for a loooong time. i can't explain all this any other way atm.

This is what I originally responded too.

What it matters is endorsements and post career opportunities are greter for All-Time great Dallas Cowboys. Its not that complicated to get what I'm trying to relay here.

He's not an all time great. So what does it matter? Talk about not hard to understand.

Peterson is going to play next season. So pleas with the 'isn't even re-instated'. He's going to play. Everyone knows he isn't a FA . That's not news to anyone either. The Cowboys I'm sure have had a plan in place if they need to acquire him.

If they get him then getting Mathews makes sense. 5m for a backup RB? Murray/ Mathews costs more than McCoy would have been. And they have no WR's. I cant figure out what the heck they're doing

Endorsements and state taxes are rarely a factor. Agents may put it in their spreadsheets, but athletes usually follow the most guaranteed money.

Please enlighten me as to how it plays out

Well if he does end up leaving, this is what we can look at to help ease the pain.

the thing is he had ALL DAY in that open field but something tells me (if he didnt fumble the ball) he would still look like he got shot by a daym tranquilizer in the open field and only produce about 10 yards (im being really generous here) before a defensive linemen caught up to him.

It's worse. If they keep Bradford, which Kelly insists they are, they have $18M tied up in their 2 QBs and would have 12-13M tied up in two RBs. That's roughly $30M tied up in their offensive backfield with no WRs to speak of.

Aren't they loaded with cap space?

Adios Murray, don't want ya back now even if it falls through with other teams. Hope you have to settle playing for 3 mill for a scrub team :)
