They were before the traded for Bradford. From what I understand they are down to about 10M with holes at S, LB, OL and WR.

Has to be what they can fluff and what's reality. I never understood the whole cap thing.

Still should have been able to power through that. Peppers isn't even making contact with the ground.

I'm not trying to downgrade the year he had, but he was a shell of the himself that last 1/4 of the season.

He's not an all time great. So what does it matter? Talk about not hard to understand.

If he stays here and continues at his pace like I'm assuming you believe he can, since your such an advocate of keeping him, he would rank up there as an All-Time great. Do I really need to step by step this for you?

I'm pointing out if he plays at a high level here for 4 more years he would be an All-Time great Cowboys RB. That affords post career opportunities for sponsorship and endorsements which is what I originally quoted you about. How is that complicated?

Well, what are your options? If Philly is going to pay an absurd amount do you break the bank trying to get him back? I just don't see Dallas coming in at the 11th hour and spending a ridiculous amount on Murray. We have so many needs on D. Murray was drafted not the 1st or 2nd, but 3rd round of the draft. He has been healthy only one year. I suspect the Cowboys can find a suitable replacement in this year's draft.

It will be interesting to see how much more Murray gets? a few million? more guaranteed money?

And if its somewhat close to what Dallas was offering, did Dallas get a chance to match it? Cant wait for this to be done, they keep saying sometime tonight...??? but i am not holding my breath.

If i were to bet on what is going to happen.

Murray is gone. we get spiller or an equivalent and draft one or two. and then platoon...which isnt exactly a bad thing....

But i would really like to see DM back.

What if he signs with Philly, all is well in cheesesteak land then Chip trades him away for a top pick to grab Mariotta like he says he won't?

Your assuming. You shouldn't assume. I want Murray here for more reasons than running ability. I have said it over and over.
He means a great deal to his teammates, coaches, and I think even Jerry. I never once said he was going down in Cowboys history as a great all time Cowboy. He wouldn't even have the shelve life to do it. You can have the last word.

If he doesn't write some thing in his contract to avoid that, he would deserve it.

Why would anyone trade for Murray when they can just sign him right now?

Ehh, if Murray leaves I don't really want him on the Eagles. Yeah I get that he's injury prone, but an angry Murray running downhill is pretty scary and I don't want to have to face that twice a year.

I don't understand why the iggles are interested in him anyway. Didn't they just sign Mathews? Are they hedging their bet by signing two injury-prone RB's in case one goes down??
