San Diego. Arizona. Detroit. NY Jets. Baltimore. Miami. Atlanta. Tampa. Denver. Tennessee. Indianapolis....

Lots of teams could have used Murray. They are just smart enough not to pay that much for a RB.

Still not 30:p

Touche!! You got me on that.

Here's what is sad for Murray. He's all hopped up on emotion. He looks like he's about to make an emotional decision over a few dollars.

Then, he's going to calm down, and a couple of weeks from down, he's going to say to himself, "Oh crap, what have I done? I wanted to stay in Dallas."

We've all been there. We've made bad decisions because of emotion.

And sadly, I feel guilty for wanting to turn the page on him and see if we can't find a better back.

Dallas isn't just a zone-blocking team. They run a mix of blocking schemes, including a lot of pulling with the guards.

Philly is pretty much ONLY shotgun. Murray isn't best suited for that.

Murray needs a fullback and the I-formation to be successful.

Murray played, and thrived, in this kind of system at Oklahoma.

The Cowboys barely ran 21 personnel. They are largely a 12 personnel team (1 RB, 2 TE).

It is what it is. If it works out poorly for him, it's a decision he has to live with. I'm shocked Dallas stuck to their guns, in a good way.
If it doesn't work out for Dallas, it won't be the first or last time a move helped or hurt them.
I'm just not the type that hates a player because he did what he felt was right. I wish him well. He was not all world but he was efficient.
He was a big part of the best season we have had in a while. All I got.

He's not being classless. That's ridiculous. He's chasing his money, which is fine. However, I think he knew once he started flirting with Philly, bridges were burned.

Please don't feel that way. Murray played his heart of for the team last year and was a great teammate
in the clubhouse. This is just a business decision between two parties and one party is deciding to
take a job offer at another business. This shouldn't be personal. Murray has the right to take the
best deal he can and we should just wish him well.

But how much was that other tight end in the backfield? It's still a deep power formation.

Philly keeps their QB in the shotgun with the RB close to the offensive line. Murray needs time to get moving.

If Philly gives Murray 7-8 million per year after letting McCoy leave, I'll be sad, but also laughing.

Murray has the right to get every last dollar that he can as a player. This is his one time to cash in. If he goes to the Eagles, so be it. The Cowboys won't be suspending operations if he leaves, nor will a running game cease to exist.

Average RB career average is less than 4 years. He should take the money and run.

How would you feel about CJ Spiller and Todd Gurley combination?

Or Adrian Peterson?

I'm intrigued.

If Murray chooses to be an Iggle, I would like seeing AP in our backfield myself.

We need to win while Romo can still help us win.

Although I would not overspend for him or Murray.

Tight end was flexed or in motion.

One back sets typically have the running back set seven yards deep. Running zone reads with Murray would work fine. The thing that makes Murray an effective running back is his patience. He doesn't run up the backs of his linemen, and he excels on stretch plays where he patiently waits for a crease. The system will not be a problem for him.

The problem will come when he begins breaking down physically, which should be in the next two seasons.

There plan has got them 2 playoff wins in almost 20 years.i don't think they are as smart as you do.

You don't look back 20 years when evaluating your team. You look back the last couple of years and what your head coach has done in that time frame. Garrett's arrow is pointing up and so is this team...regardless of what a Running back chooses to do.

True but I think that Steven Jones is more involved now. Most of our short comings came from not having a QB and over spending on terrible players in FA. We also didn't draft well.
