Mans gotta get paid whether here or a division rival. Lets hope Chippy overpays and it hurts them more than us if he lands there. Philly very well could be playing him to see if Jerry bites on a bigger contract.

So if our max offer is $6 per and he signs for roughly that in Philly, then I guess he just got pissed at Dallas for not showing him the money and this is a way to stick it to us.

whatever...........I don't even care anymore.

It probably has just as much to do with years and guaranteed money as it does AAV.

Not true, but no one but one has answered my question. You would turn down a 20% or better raise, every thing else being equal?
I wouldn't, my family mean more to me than that.

But everything else isn't equal in this situation lol

yeah, if he goes to philly, he truly will be dead to me...I know business is business, but going to a rival sends a message...much like hatcher taking the money in Washington makes him dead to me, demarco will forever just be "murray" to me if he goes to philly...

...still hoping demarco comes back to dallas at a reasonable price for both sides

i'd love to have Murray back but my problem is that it costs us pretty good money plus a 4 year deal....does anyone really expect Murray to play at a high level in year 3 or 4 of such a deal? I wouldn't. We rode him so hard last year I can't imagine him having more than a year and a half left of decent production on his body.

Boys have nothing at rb or defense.

We aren't even done with addressing RB at this point. And the idea we have nothing on defense is laughable. Mincey is a good player. Lawrence shows promise. Crawford emerged last year. Sean Lee if healthy is a Pro Bowl caliber player. Hitchens is solid. Scandrick is a good corner. MCClain I thnk will be back.

We will add to this during the offseason. Things are not as dire as some here make it seem.

Just as the Eagles aren't done with addressing their lack of wr's on offense. Our d as of now is worse compared to last year, all I'm saying.

Well, yeah. I think we will see some additions to our defense innshortmorder anyway as we get into the second wave of free agency.

Do you expect the Cowboys to play at a 12-4 clip in 3 or 4 years after Romo is done? We're not even looking for his replacement at this point. The window is 2-3 years with Romo. Win now. If being so financially responsible, we're still having to restructuring contracts every year. The bill comes due eventually anyway.

I don't think he'll have to overpay. At this point, Murray will probably leave for the same or similar contract and I wouldn't blame him. Pay the man.

Mincey is an average player.
Lee is never healthy.
McClain has not been re-signed.
We have a bad #2 CB

Our D is bad and worse than last year.
