Ramsey Bosa zeke appear to be the 3 guys...how do you rank those 3?

1. Ramsey by a mile
2. Bosa
3. Zeke

Zeke is probably more impactful than Bosa but I doubt we can find someone that produces like Bosa later on. Finding a RB that could match Zekes production is very doable.

I like Elliot. I think he's a stud.. But a RB in the top 5 now days? I expect Adrian Peterson and he is not that.

EE will not improve this D no matter what people say,we will score 30 and still lose handily, our defense desperately needs top tier talent.

Of course the D needs "top tier talent", but the MAJOR issue regarding the defensive prospects projected to go top 5 this year, is all of them have question marks. Bosa, Ramsey, Buckner, etc, all have legitimate question marks. Elliot is the safest pick, but I personally hate the idea of taking a rb at 4. IMO, there isn't a prospect in this draft that screams perennial pro bowler. so picking 4th overall this year is no walk in the park.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Mel says it's between Bosa and Elliott for Dallas and he keeps hearing it's Elliott.

He says he's hearing the Chargers like Stanley over Tunsil and they are deciding between Stanley, Ramsey or a trade down at 3. He thinks the Dolphins covet Elliott and may be looking to get to 3 ahead of the Cowboys.

The Ravens will run the card up for Ramsey. Tunsil, his highest rated player, is the slider.

One other noteworthy comment. Jacksonville supposedly is looking at Leonard Floyd at 5.

Daniel Jeremiah and Peter King are also stating the Jaguars are after Floyd.

Why is Elliot so safe?

He's not a explosive RB. He could very well be Mark Ingram part 2.

Ramsey is as safe as it gets imo because he will be a top safety if he somehow doesn't develop into a top NFL corner.

Wow. I had no idea Buckner was that kind of player. Peter King says he may be the best player in the draft. If he's that good, he can play any DL position in any scheme, which makes me wonder why there's no buzz about him around the Cowboys.

Because he's a 3-4 DE. He should be able to play in a 4-3, but that is what bothers me, because, imo, there shouldn't be any question marks picking 4th this year.

I know we go back and forth on Ramsey, but only having 3 career ints. in college, concerns me enough to not pick him at 4.

Good stuff, Risen. Thanks for the recap.

I'd be ecstatic with Zeke at #4, but if Miami wants him that badly, I'll take #13, their second and fifth rounders this week and #1 next year, and then grab Lynch at #13 so I can use the two firsts to trade up for Fournette in 2017. Baltimore loving Ramsey makes me think twice about about passing on him, though.

I heard a couple of different places that SD likes Buckner at #3 over Ramsey. Is Buckner really that good?

Tunsil, Bosa and Ramsey were the "consensus" top-three players in the draft a month ago. The NFL draft is a strange beast.

Analysis paralysis. That's what happens when you got too much time on your hands.

I wonder if anyone ever done a study comparing success of players from 1st round Mock draft done in Jan vs the actual draft? That would be interesting.

I don't know why this is such a big issue.

We're talking about a supremely talented guy that DID make plays all over the field and we are ok with passing on him because he only had 3 int's?

I don't get it.

Josh Norman just broke the bank and he has 7 int's in 4 years. Passing on Ramsey because of INT totals is crazy.

If they take Zeke at 4 this'll be the most I've been disappointed on draft day since Moss. You can't tell me he's so much better than the other backs that you miss out on Bosa, Ramsey or even Buckner

I called this a few days ago. If the Dolphins are able to jump us, then Ramsey is the pick if not trade down is available. If we don't get Elliott with our first, Derrick Henry will be our second round pick.

We have the entire draft to acquire top tier talent. That's why we have to trust our scouts and talent evaluators.

I would much rather start the draft with Ramsey and Henry than Elliot and...... whoever.

I agree..

IF this was a healthy Todd Gurley or a Adrian Peterson type talent than i'd be all for it.

I don't see that type of talent. Maybe i'm missing something but I don't see him as some super special RB.

I wonder if Ramsey goes 3, if Cleveland would want to trade up for Buckner. To get ahead of Baltimore/SF who could use a 3-4 end like Buckner.

I think the plan is as follows. If the Chargers take Ramsey, try to trade out for anyone looking for Tunsil. If no trade materializes, then Zeke is the pick. If Chargers take or trade the pick for someone looking for Tunsil, then Ramsey is the pick.

Its not crazy. Interceptions are a factor in evaluating cornerback play. First of all, there shouldn't even be questions regarding what position should Ramsey play, if you're picking at 4 This bothers me. Second, Darelle Revis, Patrick Petrson, are a couple of names I can think of, who were great college cbs, who had no red flags coming out of college, concerning lack of take aways. What was the biggest knock on Tnew's career here in Dallas, and elsewhere? Lack of take aways. If your drafting as high as Dallas is at 4 this year, you want a complete cb, or safety, who is the complete package, no questions asked.

Instead of taking the RB Jerry should be trying to fleece Miami for their 2nd and 3rd to move up to 4.

They'd call his bluff and dare him to take Elliott before giving up their 2nd and 3rd.

I been watching Elliott's tape, I can't be the only one not blown away. It feels like a lot of CZ is just jumping on the bandwagon for wanting this guy.

For those who are saying that EE won't improve our D....keeping our D off of the field is the only way it improves in the immediate future. Just sayin'

LOL.

Eventually the D has to get on the field though. You can't hold the ball for 50 minutes.
