From the AP story:

McNabb rallied the Eagles, throwing one of his three late TD passes after Philadelphia was forced to take out a time out when the quarterback became ill and started throwing up between plays.

If your qb starts puking on the field between plays, is the team forced to take a time out ??? Or can he puke and still get the play off if he has time ???

lol

McNubb will go down with Bartkowski, Grogan, Pastorini and Theisman as an above average, servicable yoeman..........nothing more or less.
He gets a pass and is a media darling largely because he's African American and you dare not critisize him. The only bad-mouthing allowed is from Eagle fans (see Rush Limbaugh). He has had the torch as the next African American to prove the "white QB wrong" thing that has been around in PC sports circles for decades (see Bryant Gumbal). The national media is scared to death to point out his failings and flaws for fear of being branded "racist". He's got this "cuddly" persona due to the soup/mommy commercials.
His M.O. is that he's never learned NOT to put the team on his shoulders. He's always had "happy feet" and gets rattled quickly in the pocket. He makes his share of poor reads and decisions and is not emotionally disciplined. He's either joking around too much or pounts too much. He has more than a little "me, me, me/glory" in his psyche', and is stuck on the "my team" crap that usually leads to NO CHAMPIONSHIPS! He's got some numbers because of the "west coast offense" lie that has somehow still permeated, failure after failure. That's why the Eagles picked up Timmy Chang from Hawaii in F.A.............the No. 1 alltime college QB who never got drafted.
McNubbs mediocrity coupled with the Eagle curse can lead to nothing approaching championships. His best years (and shots) are behind him. He'll flounder around in Philly for a couple more years until the boo-birds drive him and Reid out. He'll end up playing his career out in Oakland or St. Louis or Miami, and won't be mentioned in the Top-25 QB's of all time. Not a Hall of Famer. And I'll be content with that ending....................

 Awesome post:lmao:

Oh brother. This is like talking to a brick wall.

Yes, especially when you're a Cowboys homer who can't see through his star-colored glasses.

I'm glad the Eagles loss as it helps the Cowboys position.

But my support of the Cowboys doesn't mean I have to disrespect other players because they're on a rival.

McNabb is a good quarterback, one of the best in the league. And the fact that he has never really had great receivers (except for THE PLAYER) and the fact that he's never been protected by a running game and the fact that he has taken FOUR Eagles teams to the NFC Championship are facts that only the most homerific on this board can deny.

I guess what they say is true. It aint just a river in Egypt. ;) :D

Whose fault is that on getting personel on the team. Falls on the shoulders of Eagles. Since you bring up the NFC games four years in a row. According to you Kordell Stewart is an awesome QB. He lead the Steelers to the AFC games 3 years in a row but never won anything.

what's up w/ the puking?

I know kickers and punters try to draw flags by falling, but what's puking for?

Did anyone in this thread actually watch the game? He leaned over and puked after running for a 43 yard gain late in the game with temps and humdity in the 90's. He had a lousy day against a safety that knows him like the back of his hand, but he DID carry that team with his legs on a number of occasions today. I'm no Eagle lover, but I'd swap him straight up with Bledsoe or any other QB in the NFC East. You folks are all wet.

LOL!

I love the bait and switch.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did Kordell Stewart lead the Steelers to FOUR AFC Championships?

Er, NO!

He wasn't even a starter when the Steelers made the AFC Championship in 1995. He was in his slash role.

Wasn't he benched in favor of Jim Miller? Wait, who was McNabb benched in favor of?

Pulease.

You may want to downplay McNabb's contributions to those teams but they are what they are.

Kordell was considered a Steelers QB by default. He was a novelty who was exposed as a novelty as he gained more playing time.

McNabb is way better than Stewart.

Only the Cowboys homer/haters can't give him credit. Many in the league give him the credit he deserves, including ex-players who've played the game.

And, yes, I'll take those who've played the game and their opinions over Internet armchair QBs.

He has carried that Eagles offense. Anyone with eyes can see that.

An honest post.

P.S., I don't even think McNabb is the only player to have puked his guts out. I believe Troy Aikman did the same thing. That happens more than the cameras capture, from what I understand.

I didn't say he wasn't a good QB. My thing is people make excuses for him all the time it get sickening. Heard a caller on the wip saying that the organization is arrogant and needs to be humble until they win something. He said Dallas has a reason to be because we have won superbowls. How long can people hang on to 4 straight NFC appearances. He is a good QB but he seems to choke in BIG games.

I think opposing offenses have scored something like 17 points off of Drew Bledsoe turnovers this season. Donovan McNabb nearly outdid him in one game today. Yet there are some on here who rail Bledsoe while apologizing for McNabb, claiming any "honest" Cowboys fan would love to have McNabb on their team.

Check that, it's completely ridiculous. Most "honest" Cowboys fans would hate to have that cowardly choker on their team. His two-faced disappearing act after single-handedly losing to us in Philly last year nails that point home.

Anyone who would say that they prefer Bledsoe to McNabb FOR FOOTBALL REASONS (not "I like him better"), either knows nothing about football, or isn't being honest with what they see.

I will say this, though, McNabb has to be the least accurate SHORT passer, who is an overall good QB, of anyone I've ever seen. If I had a dollar for every time a receiver of his ends up on the ground trying to catch one of his short passes I would be a rich man.

I don't beat on Bledsoe but I like McNabb as a QB. I'll ask the question again. Did you watch the game? He might have lost the game today, but it is absurd to question his heart. If he had decent receivers other than Westbrook, it would not have been close, even with his mistakes.
