***MERGED McNabb thread w/vomit vid***

Anyone who would say that they prefer Bledsoe to McNabb FOR FOOTBALL REASONS (not "I like him better"), either knows nothing about football, or isn't being honest with what they see.

I will say this, though, McNabb has to be the least accurate SHORT passer, who is an overall good QB, of anyone I've ever seen. If I had a dollar for every time a receiver of his ends up on the ground trying to catch one of his short passes I would be a rich man.

As football players, you're absolutely right - McNabb is far superior, and I've never tried to say otherwise. He's the best QB in the NFC East, which at this point, is kindof like being the prettiest girl at the "Chernobyl Class of '86 Reunion Dance." He isn't a leader, however, and he's not a winner, no matter what his stat-***** career says.

does anybody have or can anybody make a video or gif of mc-choke puking? im hearing he was puking in tampa today

I don't beat on Bledsoe but I like McNabb as a QB. I'll ask the question again. Did you watch the game? He might have lost the game today, but it is absurd to question his heart. If he had decent receivers other than Westbrook, it would not have been close, even with his mistakes.

And if he hadn't made those mistakes, would it have mattered if he had receivers? His receiver bed was made by him and the Eagles organization, I feel no pity there. My opinion (and likely everyone here) is not formed about him over one game, or even a few. It's based on a career of coming up short and "lame" when his team needs him most. Sooner or later, you are what you are.

I can agree SP, to a point. I think McNabb is a little bit weak. I think he does some good things in CRUNCH TIME, like he did today, and that is SOME evidence of leadership. But he didn't shine in that Super Bowl he played in, I can agree there. And I also thought he layed down in that game last year against Dallas.

Yes, especially when you're a Cowboys homer who can't see through his star-colored glasses.

I'm glad the Eagles loss as it helps the Cowboys position.

But my support of the Cowboys doesn't mean I have to disrespect other players because they're on a rival.

McNabb is a good quarterback, one of the best in the league. And the fact that he has never really had great receivers (except for THE PLAYER) and the fact that he's never been protected by a running game and the fact that he has taken FOUR Eagles teams to the NFC Championship are facts that only the most homerific on this board can deny.

I guess what they say is true. It aint just a river in Egypt. ;) :D

No running game? I thought Westbrook was THE SAVIOR. Not that you said it, but many folks have tooted his horn. In fact a lot of so-called Cowboys fans go out of their way to compliment opposing players while only criticizing Cowboys players. To me, that's just as bas as being a homer. Both homers and haters are full of Egypt.

mcnabb is creating an unusual body of work. he doesn't LOOK bulimic - but he sure ACTS bulimic.

I could be wrong but it appeared to be the New England Clam Chowder that he was spewing , not one of my favorites. If I were him I would stay with the chicken and noodle. :laugh2:

In addition, no other QB in this league is asked to provide more offense to their team than McNabb. Mike Vick may be the only one. McNabb has more involvement in more plays and is asked to do so much more than your average QB that it isn't even funny. When the league knows that you are going to pass 75% of the time but you don't have the receivers to support that strategy, you either have a crazy coach or a damn good QB. Which one is it. Mind you, they have been very successful in the past years with this formula.

The fact that he was able to take his team to 4 NFC championships and one Super Bowl with questionable offensive talent (besides TO), should speak volumes. I love the Cowboys like the rest of you guys but anyone that can sit up here and say that McNabb isn't a good QB and one of the best in the league is really smoking something strong.

Regarding politics, Rush may have his opinions about why McNabb seems to be cuddled by society, but the fact is, I can't think of another QB that could have been as successful as McNabb with the talent that he has had over the years. Lacking accuracy? Yes. Soft stomach? Yes. Beats the pants off of the NFC East on the regular basis(hopefully not XMAS)? You betcha. Is the best QB in the division (Romo included)? Yep. Is he a player? Yes. Give him a real running back and a dominant WR and the Eagles will be really tough to beat and all of you know it.
