Merriman suspended

Merriman was taking something that enhanced his performance, thus enhancing his team's performance.

Irvin was taking a substance that only damaged his body, and in turn hurt the team.

Hey, if you're going to have abusers on your team, they might as well be doing something that HELPS the team.

Just like the election, you've lost!

I already checked it out. I posted a request in bold, red and font size 6 to tone down the insults. But thank you for trying to tell me how to do my job.

How is any different than Michael Irvin repeatedly getting busted? What, do you wish Michael Irvin was never on the Cowboys?

Geez, Mike Irvin's coke problem never threatened anyone's livlihood on the field. MI was his own victim.

Do you remember why Gastineau was so despised? Flat out hated, not just by opponents but his OWN team-mates?

Why Romonowski played out his career under a continuous cloud?

It was because roiders present a danger to other players that is above and beyond what any player should have to face.

And roiding is about personal self-interest- bigger biceps, bigger stats, bigger contracts.

ROYS = bigger payoffs. SACKS = bigger payoffs.

It's selfish - to the core.

If you're not big enough or strong enough to compete honestly, tough luck - join 75 million other American men with insufficient size but enough integrity not to cheat.

Yeah, you're right, what was Bob Dole thinking.

The guy doing the drugs that harm is body is a much better bet.

Hopefully he leaves behind enough "swagger" and "thugness" that the team can bask in his "swagger after-glow" until he returns.

I didn't ask why it matters to the Chargers. Why does it matter to you? He's a cheater. Why does it matter how long he's cheated? Or whether he got caught for cheating before? As it stands now, he's a cheater, no if's and's or but's. There;s no rationalization or qualification that makes it any different, or relevant.

Guess thats me. All I'm wondering about is his performance when he comes back. He could very well be awful without the juice. It will be interesting to watch.
