I think so too, but I also am respectful of a person's wishes. I won't allow anyone else to take credit, but I'm not going to embarrass anyone either. Just a policy.

A drug abuser is a drug abuser.

It doesn't matter whether the drug is Cocaine, Weed, Heroin or if the person is doing Steroids.

This started because Bob Dole said he'd still take Merriman on the Cowboys, even knowing that he used steroids.

Which is no different than anyone here who would take Irvin on the Cowboys, even though he used cocaine.

Both are bad, and both end in players getting suspended, but at least Merriman is smart enough to do something that helps him and his team.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but he used to weigh 250 lbs in Maryland. When he finally reported to San Diegeo, he had put on twenty five pounds to get to 275. That is a huge amount to put on in a short amount of time. I kind of suspected steriods, but didn't know if he employed a fitness guru and maybe a dietician. The NFL has to do a better job of catching cheaters than it is currently using. It is not fair to the people who don't use drugs to try and compete with people who are gaining an unfair advantage.

Bob Dole's reply was simply that it isn't wrong to want Merriman even after he's been busted, when nobody here would not take Michael Irvin on the Cowboys even though he was repeatedly busted with illegal substances.

Obviously, he has now had a couple of hours to get w/ his agents in order to try and fabricate some lame excuse and deny responsibility.
